Not making ice
I went on line and viewed the video. It looked so easy I ordered the new ice maker. Having the information I was able to take apart the old one and view the problem. By the time the new part arrived I was experienced with the installation. I was shocked when the new ice maker arrived within 1 day. I completed the installation without a hitch, I was delighted with the ease of installation and the operation of the new iace maker. Thanks again...Ray

Plastic pin hinge supporting pantry top broken
First I printed out two descriptions previously posted on the PartSelect website. Then I ordered the part, now being sure that I was ordering the right part. Then I followed the descriptions to do the installation. There were minor differences in which screws were actually there and how to get the temperature control off of the back of the fridge. The hardest step was in carefully snapping out the temperature control from the end cap and reinserting it in the new end cap. Then the last tricky step was inserting the pantry cover back in the hinges, which requires bending the plastic, being careful not to break the hinge again. But it all worked out, thanks in large part to the previous descriptions of how to do it. PartSelect deserves a lot of credit for this!!

Ice maker quit
I removed contents of freezer as this was a bottom unit. I had to remove freezer drawers/door to easily access ice maker which was located in the back of unit, wasnt a problem.I did however take a hair dryer to water tube as it froze up with about an 6 inch tube of ice that finally slid down. Connected unit and had ice within an hour or so and a full tray within 24 hrs. Second ice maker in little over a year...Video very helpful, saved 100 bucks by doing myself. Part arrived fast, great job!

Ice maker leaked a little, then quit completely.
We ordered a PartSelect PS2121513 ice maker. I was concerned that there was no instructions shipped with the unit. Fortunately, PartSelect had an online video that guided me through the process. It wasn't that complex really. The only time I felt totally dumb was when using my nut driver to remove the bottom bracket. I couldn't figure out why there was no 1/4" socket with my set, so I used a small socket wrench instead. I finally figured out that the driver was already a 1/4", without a socket in it. After that it was easy. Slid the ice maker up a little to free it from the top mounting screws. Pulled it outward a bit to gain access to the connector at the back of the freezer, then squeezed the two sides of the connector and out it came. I popped the plastic cover off the existing device and then removed the connector as instructed in the video. I also removed the bale (as per the video). I put the connector harness, plastic cover and bale on the new ice maker and put it back in, this time using the nut driver on the bottom bracket :-). My only concern after that was that it didn't seem to be working. I had no idea that it needed some time to get cold before it would work. After about an hour, it filled with water and began making ice. Success.

I just needed to replace a rather useless can holder in the door with a more useful bin.
All I needed was to replace a can holder in the door of my refrig ( since I don't drink pop/soda it was wasting space ) with a more useful bin to hold items like condiments/salad dressings. Popped one out, the new one in. . . . simple. I do appreciate the fact that this site made it easy to get the right item , and the item arrived the day after I ordered it. Thank you so much.

broken lid to pantry drawer
Being mechanically challenged, I'm surprised I was able to do the repair but your website was very encouraging and very helpful. The hardest part was convincing myself that I could do it and that I owned the right tools. One trip to the basement, two tools and maybe 20 minutes later the repair was done! Loved how easy it was to order, how quickly it was delivered, really great instructions on the website.

Compressor would not run.
The repair was simple. It was a matter of unpluging the old relay and then pluging in the new one. I almost bought a new refrigerator but after doing alittle reading on this web sight and finding out the most common reason for having the problem I was having I decided to order the relay. It was the problem...$ 70.00 -v- $1400.00. I'm HAPPY !

broken end caps rendered our pantry drawer "topless"
We needed to replace both end caps for our Kitchen Aid refrigerator's pantry drawer. Although it seemed that after a few minutes studying your website's illustrations we knew what parts to order, still we doubted ourselves thinking it just seemed somehow too clear considering we were in unknown territory. When we received our parts we were careful to keep the boxes and paperwork together still believing there was no way we were going to be successful. Wrong ! We did indeed have everything we needed and our repair went really smoothly. It was truly a pleasure and so satisfying. Thanks for your illustrations, your how to video and your prompt delivery.

Pivot Block not operating french door hinge
The pivot block looked slightly worn because the hinge door mechanism on the left door would not "close" when the door was opened. I bought the pivot block, but the fix is adjusting the dual french doors so they are even i n height at the top of the unit. Pivot block is a 2 minute job with screwdriver. Adjusting the height is a 5 minute job with nut driver.

Icemaker making icebergs, then nothing.
The icemaker in my Maytag refrigerator was having a few problems. First, a small leak developed in the ice cube tray, allowing water to drip into the ice bucket. This of course caused the ice to become one solid mass, totally inappropriate for a gin and tonic. After a couple of months of this, it stopped working altogether. On to the internet I went, and discovered how easy this repair actually was. One nut to remove, one to put it back in. The installation video was very helpful. I did have a concern at first because the icemaker did not start making ice rights away. I thought it might be a defective unit. It took about 12 hours to get the first batch and it has been happily cranking out the ice since! Ed in upstate New York.
