JGW8130DDB12 Jenn-Air Range - Instructions

Took off oven door. Took out oven racks. Took out bottom oven cover above igniter. Igniter is held in by 2 screws,took them out with a small socket. Went to back of stove and unhooked white plug in - (part of igniter) Thats it. About as easy as it gets. Just reversed the process putting in the new one. Took about 25 minutes. It would have taken less time but I had a problem with one of the screws. Probably from the heat. The oven is 9 years old.

Open the oven door, take the bottom out. The ignitor is right there!! unscrew it and unplug it... plug in and screw in the new one! Took about five minutes!! Our oven worked again after not working for a year!! Yeah!!

Removed oven door (slides out). Removed side and bottom screws from frame and slid new glass into place. screwed in the 8(or so) screws.

Suspected the igniter, and verified by reading comments on your parts site. The mounting screws were frozen so I used larger screws. Piece of cake! Wa La!

shut off gas and unpluged stove pulled it away from wall removed(2)screws from (top left inside oven)unpluged old sensor in back(left side)and pull old wire thru feed wire from new sensor thru hold pluged in put(2)screws back in done(***used drinking straw and tape to feed new wire thru hole***)

Followed the instructions that were provided me when I ordered the Gas Oven Igniter

Bought the igniter, replaced it with the old one and it works great.

It was easy because the clips were already on the new door gasket. Just had to remove old door gasket and replace it with the new one. Very simple job.

It was really easy. Watched a brief tutorial on the Internet and went to town. Followed the instructions and had a working oven in no time at all.

Received the part the day after ordering. Appreciated the quick service and repair took less than a minute.

I followed the instructions on this website. Luckily a friend showed me where the sensor was located and from there, it was a breeze. Removed six screws on the back oven panel, removed two screws inside of the oven, took the old sensor out and put the new sensor in. Voila - works great. I can't tell you how much I appreciate Parts Select and the feedback and help from the customers. I've been out of work for almost two years and when I called my repair guy, he said it could be the computer and that would be expensive. That's when I searched on line and found Parts Select. I would have never even attempted this on my own if it weren't for you and it was so simple. Next time anything goes wrong with an appliance, I'll be contacting you first! Thank you.

Removed old gasket and replaced with new gasket'

I tried to take it out from the inside as the vidio shows. But it would not come out far enough. I pulled out the stove and removed back sheet metal panel. Unpluged the electric, Unhooked the temp sensor,pulled it out from the oven side. Put the new one through the hole,and rehooked it up. And got to clean up the dust and my missing oatmeal I spilled a while back. Turned it on. Checked it with a spare temp gage. Works so far.

I lifted up the bottom insert of the inside of my oven and then followed the instructions on this site. Originally I purchased the wrong igniter, so I would encourage you to look at yours and make sure you are buying the right part. I am a complete novice. Even with my purchase debacle, my oven was back up and running within 5 days (total cost was $60). Do this even if you are scared of a screwdriver. Just remember to turn off the gas first. Make sure you've turned off the gas by trying to light a burner (if your burners are otherwise working correctly). If it doesn't light, the gas is off and there is nothing to be afraid of. The igniter is far enough away from the gas pipe that I wasn't afraid of breaking it and once I saw how the oven was put together, I wasn't afraid of working on it.
