The door latch on Maytag dishwasher broke.
The door latch assembly shipped and arrived in just 2 days and was ready to install. All I had to do was remove the inside panel (11 screws) and swap the latch assembly. There was even a video on the PartSelect's web site that showed how to make the repair. Only needed a star-blade screw driver (which I already had). Very easy.

Broken door handle
The online video was perfect. The instructions were simple, straight forward, and easy to follow. I followed the directions without any problems. However, I didn't realize that I needed a star pattern screw driver to screw the screws on the perimeter of the door. But a very small screw driver worked and I avoided buying a special screw driver. The door latch fit perfectly.

Latch handle failed
I found the repair advice from other posts to be helpful, but I did not expect the difficulty getting the old latch disconnected from the wiring. I can see why one person said to just use the old electrical switches...I tried using pliers, a micro set of screwdrivers, a needlenose, and all I accomplished was breaking both old switches into many small pieces, and one of the electrical prongs from each set of wires refused to disengage. After nearly a half hour of applying brute force, they finally came off, but I was concerned the entire time that I was going to ruin the wiring harness and have to replace that as well.

Broken dishwasher handle
I had already removed the dishwasher panel to see the broken latch. My husband turned the electric power off, then I pryed off the 2 wiring terminal and pluged in the new latch assembly, layed it in place and replaced the door and screws. But I have to give most of the credit to the video that I watched on your site. Linda

Broken door latch
The repair was simple. We watched a YouTube video to make sure we were doing it correctly. It was as simple as unscrewing the panel, removing the old latch assembly, and connecting the new one. Nothing to it.

Door latch broken
Followed recomendations from other customers comments, especially about not having to remove panel completely. Removed all screws from door panel, just separated the 2 panels enough to reach in and remove old part, then attached new part and reinserted all screws. Took less than 5 minutes. Works great!!

Broken door latch
1. Turn of circuit breaker to dishwasher. 2. Remove inner door using star shaped screwdrivers- I bought a set at Home Depot for about $10. 3. I had to use a pair of pliers to detach the electrical plugs to the door latch sensors. 4. Connect plugs to the new sensors on the latch assembly and put the new assembly in place. Don't worry if the small tabs are broken on the control panel- they aren't necessary to hold the latch assembly in place. 5. Replace the inner door and turn the power back on. This took me less than 30 minutes to complete.
