Pieces of auger broke off and came down the ice chute.
I followed Parts select video and the only tough part was the plastic tabs were difficult to release. A good tip so that you don't mix up the cutter blades is to slip them on a screw driver as you take them off old auger. I'm a 84 year old widow and I'm proud of myself!

Flapper in door for ice dispenser would not close.
I repaired IAW the PartSelect video. Very easy. One thing that should be mentioned in the troubleshooting process, is to check the retention spring on the flapper. That spring could come off and also cause the flapper not to close.

Water leaking from the front door
We watched the video on how to install the part. When the part arrived we were all set. The video was so informative that we knew exactly where to go to install and what tools to use. This was great and we have recommended this company to anyone who needs to do repair on their appliances without having to pay for a service call, parts and labor. It cost us approximately $42.00 which other wise would have been easily $200.00 for the GE repair person or another appliance repair person

Water filter and ice maker were not working--needed new filter housing
Turn off the cold water at the source. Remove metal plate from back of refrigerator at the top. Disconnect the two tubes that feed the water to the filter at the bottom of the back (behind the cardboard), noting which line takes the "blue" tube. On the inside of the refrigerator, pop off the top of the filter housing and set aside. Unscrew the two screws holding the filter assembly from the inside and pull the old assembly through.. Remove the plastic stopper (unless you are not using a filter) from the new assembly.Thread the new assembly tubes from the inside to the outside and reconnect screws and replace top of filter housing. Connect the new tubes to the water supply and to the refrigerator and tighten the nuts. Replace the metal plate and screws over the black insulated part at the top. Turn on the water and check for leaks. Replace the water filter..If a 68 year old grandmother can do it, so can you.

Ice maker door was not closing. Snow piled up enough to fall when door was opened.
Turned power off at breaker. Took off front panel on the door. Unscrewed the panel where the electrical parts were plugged in. Then you could unscrew the old solenoid assembly and install the new one. Cleaned around the Ice shute since some mold was there. Put all back together. We watched the video from you tube about 5 times!!
