Ice maker failed to make ice
Watcheda U-Tube type video of how to repair the unit. This was very helpful in that it identified a screw that had to be removed but was not visible upon my initial observations. Also it mentioned that you had to re-use some of the original hardware in order to complete the replacement. My only complaint is that I believe the failed motor could have been replaced for about $15 but I was not able to find that specific part in any catalog and opted to replace the entire unit. Overall I am extremely well pleased. Everything now works fine.

Ice maker would not make ice.
I followed the instructions on the PartSelect videos I found on YouTube. (turn off ice maker) 1. remove cover by GENTLY pushing pins aside, 2. remove screw underneath right/rear, 3. remove plastic thingy that the screw went through, 4. push up tabs underneath left & right, 5. slide out ice maker, 6. disconnect wiring harness, 7. pull off plastic cover (no screws), 8. remove 3 screws from controller, 9. install new controller, then reverse 1. thru 8. Unfortunately I was a little heavy handed when removing the cover and broke the bracket. I replaced it at the same time for about $10 (off & on with 2 screws).
