Did not spin
Followed your instruction, simply removed the top cover and the two screws on the door to remove the switch assembly. Unplug old part and replaced with the new one after pluging three wires. I saved $105.00, which was the quote from a repair shop. Thank You for your great service and directions; the part arrived a day after I had ordered, did not pay extra for special delivery.

Door strike snapped
The door strike on our front loader snapped, thanks to numerous family members slamming the door. I don't know much about repairing appliances, actually, I didn't even know the part we broke was called a 'door strike'. Desperate to regain the use of my washer, I took to the internet superhighway and found PartSelect. PartSelect is such an outstanding shop! Thanks to their forward thinking by using grids, photos to scale, and helpful additional info, I easily found the part I needed (and learned the part's name!). And, my part arrived in one day! On a Saturday! PartSelect will be my go-to shop from now on!

Nylon door latch broke off. Poor design. The hinges on the Affinity washer and dryer have hinges that won't keep the latches aligned, so the strike hit the body and broke off.
Repair was easy. Two screws held it on. It's set into the door, so there is no adjustment. However, I should have bought a couple of extra ones, because the design problem is still inherent, and it will break the next time somebody is in a hurry and "slams" the door, or pulls it open before the cycle is completed. The ten pound door is held by a stike less than 1/8" thick.

Washer Would Not Go Thru It's Cycles,Power Surge!
Removed top by removing screws in rear. Removed front panel. Remove control panel from front panel. Remove printed circuit board. Found printed circuit board with melted part from the power surge. Ordered part. Mark the eletrical plugs,as you remove them so you put them back in order. Do not tip front over, you'll loose the little springs that push buttons out! Align two shafts so board will go back together. Reassmble in opposite order.

Machine shook - caused wooden base to "walk".
Removed two screws at base on front and dropped cover.Recognized broken shock absorbers as problem or possible result of more critical problem.Removed broken shocks (obstinate pins:use proper open end wrench to engage pin beneath head and drive wrench handle to pull pin. Of course, at same time, push in lock on pin's point to release)and ordered part number.Installed new shocks.Plastic pins were originally "top" toward rear, but shocks could be rotated so pins would engage bushings properly with "top" toward rear or facing front (bushings have a "stop" opposite side pin is driven in).I rotated the shock "heads" and "shafts" as I saw fit for easiest installation (some pins head forward, others head back). One shock had a head location that made it difficult to push through the hole. I located a "service" hole in the back of washer almost directly opposite this head.Used wooden dowel (maybe 20 inches)through hole in back and hammer to drive pin in place.Liquid hand soap seemed okay lubricant for all pins.

Washer wouldn't come on because lock went out
Ok, so I went to wash clothes and my Frigidaire Affinity wouldn't come on because it said the door wasn't locked. The switch had gone out. I researched it and bought it here. When we got it, I looked up a video on Youtube that was less than 2 minutes long. My husband and I watched it and then did the repair! It took us only a few minutes and then the washer worked! We saved time and at least $150! And it was so easy to do that I probably could have done it without my husband, and I'm not the handy type.
