FTF2140ES0 Frigidaire Washer - Instructions

the existing pin was in backwards and to get it out was a problem because there was not enough room behind the pin to get it out.also i thiugh there was 2 pins in the kit and there was only one.

really bad design on the door, door breaks when pull is slightly upwards and washer is on the bottom of washer dryer stack so pull is always up.this is my third one. remove two screws and replace . takes about 2/3 minutes

Take a deep breath and say, "I can do this. I will not pay well over $100 for someone else to come and do it."! Identifying part easy, mail very quick, web instructions clear, took out two screws, slipped out old part, put in new one, replace screws. Removed two screws on the back of the washer top to release the top on the washer. Slid the top off and removed it. Opened washer door and removed two screws securing the door lock assembly to the washer frame. Reached in from the top of the washer to get the door lock assembly. Unplugged the old door lock assembly in three places and plugged the new assembly in in the same three places. Placed the new assembly in the same place as the old one and secured it to the washer frame with the same two screws located on the inside of the door. Replaced washer top and secured two screws at the top back edge of the washer... Tried the spin mode and everything worked great!!!

This is th esecond handle I have installed on this washing machine. The model number has disappeared from the label from being exposed to detergent and age. This web site provided EXCELLENT guides to ensure the correct part was ordered. The picture perfectly matched my handle. The part arrived VERY quickly and with EXCELLENT packing to ensure the plastic part was not damaged. The installation required two minutes to remove the damaged handle and install the new handle.

Unscrewed two phillips head screws, removed damaged part, screwed on replacement part. Presto! Washer works again. I especially appreciated receiving the part less than 48 hours after I ordered it with only regular shipping charge.

I shut off the water supply and started a cycle to release the pressure on the valves. Unplugged the power. Removed the top by unscrewing two screws on the back. Unscrewed the water lines and snapped off the plastic retainer for the water lines and overflow tube. Disconnected the wires to the red, green and blue valves, as well as the small black sensor on the side of the valve assembly. I had to unlock and partially disconnect the overflow tube to allow me access to one of the mounting screws. Removed the other mounting screw and separated the valve assembly by pulling it firmly. I put a little silicone grease on the two rubber mounting grommets and inserted the new valve assembly and re-assembled screws, wire harnesses. Replaced the top and screwed it down.

I am a 64 year old female that had never attempted to fix anything. This was my 1st attempt at fixing something. It took longer to look for phillips screwdriver than it took took to repair it. Thank you so much for instructions.

Took cover off bottem on front of washer and pulled pins out of shocks. Put new shocks in and put the pins back in and reinstalled the cover. It was a easly fix and looking up the parts needed and ordering them was made easy by PartSelect.

The door assembly did not fix the problem this time, it was the control panel that had to be replaced. I have replaced the door assembly in the past, and I am glad I have a spare on hand. They do go out over time from the pressure of large batches of clothes. I am "no repair man", but having someone come out to replace it for you is a $300.00 job, easily. Read the tech info for your error code and go from there.

first removed the soap drawer (it snaps out) removed the top cover of the washer by removing two small screws in the back, sliding the cover back and then up and off. removed total of eleven screws five that hold the faceplate to the washer and than six screws that hold the control module to the face plate. reversed the procedure to install the new one. piece of cake.

took the top off removed the old one and put in the new one.Works great!!

I found you web site online found the broken part. I was pleased with a timely delivery and the correct part. A $30 dollar part from you saved me at least $150 from a appliance repairman. Thanks - Jared
