Keep searches simple. Use keywords, e.g. "leaking", "pump", "broken" or "fit".
element burnt into.
The part came quick and packed very well. I moved the stove out and un pluged it. opened oven door and took a philips screwdriver and took the screws out at the back of element..Slid it out with the two wires attached and unpluged the conectors. pluged the conectors on to the new element and slid it back in. Had a chocolate cake in 35 minuts. Thanks, John in Texas
****Threw the breaker switch for the oven to the 'off' position****. Opened the oven. Unscrewed the phillips head screws at the back of the old element. Removed the connecting wire, taping them to the stove so that they wouldn't recede into the hole. Securely attached the connecting wires to the new element. Pushed the wires back into the holes in the stove. Removed the tape from the oven. Screwed the element into place. ****Threw the breaker switch back to the 'on' position****. Process took under 10 minutes.
DO NOT FORGET TO UNPLUG OR TURN OFF BREAKER BEFORE DOING ANYTHING WITH THE WIRES. Don't forget to turn it back on again when you are done.
hot spot in center of bake element appeared suggesting failure was imminent
pulled breaker,removed oven door,removed 2 screws,pulled bake element out 3 inches,pulled connections off,pushed connectors on new element,pushed new element back and replaced screws,replaced oven door ,pushed breaker back and turned on oven and let it heat up to 350 degrees. Total time 10 minutes,even a caveman could do it.
Turn Off the BREAKER!!! Unplug the stove/oven Opened the oven door Unscrewed the baking element for the oven Pulled the old element out about 3" Disconnected the wire clip on both sides Plugged the element into the clips Screwed element back into place Plugged oven in ,turned on breaker PRESTO DONE
The oven heating element burned out like a lit fuse!
Removed 2 phillips screws, unplugged 2 wires, threw away old element. Installation of the new element was just as easy but in reverse order. Piece of cake!
Very simple fix--unpugged two fittings in the back of oven plugged in the new element and it was done.The Best part was that the element burned out on a Sunday and I ordered the part that day and it shipped on Monday and received part on Wed AM.This is the second time I've had to replace the element and by ordering through Part Select I saved $24.00 versus buying it from an appliance store.
Took two screws out unplugged the element and plugged the new one in and replaced the screws and turned the breaker back on. Works great...Piece of cake..jk
With the back removed, replacing the lamp receptacle is straight-forward. Likewise, the door gasket is very easy. However, in order to replace the hinges, you have to remove the burner glass top (screws underneath the front lip), and inner and outer side panels. Also the supplied hinges mounting holes were not threaded so I had to use my own bolts, lock-washers and nuts in order to attach them. Total time, including a bit of cleaning, was 5 hours.
Ordered element and recieved in two days(yea). Removed back cover from unit. Removed two wire slide on wire clips. Then went inside oven cavity and removed two screws holding element intact. The element slid out. Installed element, re-installed two screws to hold element intact. Attached wire clips back on to element, re-attached back cover. Plugged unit back in and it worked perfectly. Eazy-peezy lemon squeezy.

I followed the instructions as provided. When I finished I noticed the switch was 1/4 turn out from the off position mark on the stove. So I pulled the stove back out and took the back panel off again pulled the knobs back off took out the screws that held the switches in place and rotated the switch 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Then I replaced all the screws and knobs . Then I replaced the panel and shoved the stove back in place. One of the burners was an eight inch and the switch doesn't work as well as it could. However there was not a direct replacement for the eight inch burner.
40+ year old oven. . . worn out, obsolete door hinges. . .
Removed old hinges, fabricated new mounting plates from 16ga steel plate. . . Cut new hinges to fit in available space. . . Drilled and tapped new mounting holes and adjustment tracks. . . Shortened existing springs to fit new configuration. Installed new hinges.
Large burner was surging indicating infinite switch failed
Changing out the switch was easy. Paid attention to wire connections to avoid mixup. Removal and installation of the switch was easy. It's the back panels that gave me the most challenge. Used screwdrivers and needle nose pliers to do repair. Having a second set of hands for the two part back panel reinstall was most helpful, but can be accomplished by 1 person. Burner works great. This is a easy DIY fix.
removed 4 screws lifted off the face with switches replaced the bad switch and put the face plate back on. if you have any concerns just watch the video , part select has posted its great
