F71C24RJB1 Frigidaire Dishwasher - Instructions

Ordered a new one.

Pulled out old gasket and replaced with a new one.New gasket snapped right in place in bottom of door,

The new tub gasket just sits right into the grove around the tub. Just press it in (grooved side to the back) all the way around several times and you are good to go. The bottom gasket is hard to see. You have to open the door all the way down and on the inside bottom of the door you will see the outer edge of the gasket going across the lenght of the door. Simply slide it out making note of where the notch in the gasket is located. Slide the new gasket into place (won't go in if notch is on the wrong side) and you are good to go. No tools were required for installing either gasket.

We have wood floors and in front of the dishwasher our wood floor started warping. We noticed it not getting any better so I looked under the dishwasher and could see a drip coming from the inlet valve. We have wood floors and recent granite counter tops so the dishwasher was stuck and had to hack saw the front legs to remove. Afte all that about an hour an half looked for the part and found it on your site for $25. We were going to replace the dishwasher but decided not to spend $700 for replacement. The part got here in 3 days and I was able to replace it very easy watching your video. It's been about a week and no leak and our floor is dry and back to normal. Thank you, Brent.

The new spring I installed according to the video. It had a smaller diameter than the original so did not work well but when I left the old springs on the door and added the new ones so now I have two springs on each side I had a great improvement. Now the door does not fall open and hit me in the shins. If the replacement spring had the same diameter and therefore the same strength as the original that would have been even better

Took the new Silverware Basket from the box. Opened door to dishwasher, removed defective Silverware Basket, put new Silverware Basket in its place.

Took out the old lower rack and inserted the new one. Was worth every penny. New rack slides so smooth.

I thought the problem was soap crystal build up, so I tried to file and chip it away, but after replacing the dispenser and checking with a magnifier, I found thet the plastic latch was worn and the dispenser had to br replsced. The video made it easy.

I bought dishracks and a new handle. the dishracks went in without a problem. The bottom one just slides in, the upper one requires removing a plastic latch and somehow getting the middle spout removed, which was difficult. The door handle was easy but required a visit to the hardware store because i didn't have a "torex" screwdriver. Other than that, it was a 15 minute job and it works well now.

Stem and spray arm tabs worn to the point where every time the washer was used the spray arm would pop off and end up on the bottom of the machine, a screwdriver and ten minutes time saved a ton of money and updated the machine.

Bottom dish rack is a direct replacement with no assembly required. Top rack has to have the old center cone removed and placed onto the new upper rack. The top rack comes with rail wheels in place. In order to reinstall the new upper rack you must take the rail stops off to allow the old top rack and wheels to be removed and then place the new top rack with wheels into the rail grooves. Make sure they are rolling correctly and then replace the rail blocks. Happy dishwashing!

Turn off water supply to dishwasher. Turn off electrical power to dishwasher. Remove lower front cover to expose underneath the unit. Locate the valve toward the left, front underneath the washer. unplug the wire harness from the valve. lay a towel under the valve to catch water that WILL come out. Using a pair of needle nose pliers, squeeze and slide back the hose clamp holding the hose to the water bottle. Remove the 2 screws that mount the valve bracket to the frame. There is plenty of slack in the braided water feed hose to pull the valve out from under the washer. Remove the hose from the fitting and then remove the fitting from the valve. Re-wrap the threads of the fitting with teflon tape and install into new valve. Attach and tighten the braided supply hose to the fitting. Install the valve in reverse order of removal. It takes about 10 minutes to do.

all I did was replace the arm , however I took advice from another PartSelect customer - I had to screw the arm into the floor of the dishwasher until it clicked!! Now, it will not tip over.
