Remove the previous ice maker and install the new one
The repair was fairly straightforward now that we realized the ICE CREAM SHELF also needed to be replaced. It is strongly advised that your instruction as to that fact should be in bold, ALL CAPS, or a different-colored type. I believe this is the 3rd time we have ordered the ice maker from you and we HOPE that you have appropriately refunded our account for the one that you received back on 1/27/21.
The repair was fast and easy .I removed the ice tray , disconnected the wiring connector and lossend two screws. I removed ice maker assy.and repeated in reverse order to install. I also installed a new water filter. I had ice in about 20 minutes.
I followed the instructions, my ONLY issue was about the Part 46 the Ice Dispenser Actuator Rod. The front of the arm has flared out grooves and it didn't warn me about making sure the rod is properly aligned thru part 23 Front Plate or else when the ice maker actuates the rod it will not move properly if the grooves are not aligned on each side of the Front panel. I hope you can understand what I mean, if not just look at how the Part 46 rests in Part 23
The previous tenants broke the glass shelf in the refrigerator and all I did was order the part and place it on the refrigerator shelf. Very simple and I ordered the correct part thanks to the refrigerator diagram the website had.
removed ice maker storage holder and then remove two philip screws and unplugged four pin connector. removed ice maker and installed new one . very easy to do
I followed the YTube video. The ice maker doesnot crush ice. The auger moves the ice to the dispenser. Is there a position for metal blades when assembling auger?
This refrigerator is less than 2 years old. I have had to replace the ice maker 2 times now. Cheap ass parts! Only one ice maker you can order so just be prepared to replace it yearly!
Refridgerator too cold...freezing food, could not turn down
First, read "how to" on the internet because the thermostat comes with no instructions and unplug refer. Second, remove food and lower rear panel. Third, pull off thermostat from tube it clips to, unhook wire harness, and cut wires.Fourth, add heat shrink tubing from store(that supplied is way too big) and connect wires with automotive connectors;shrink-seal tubing with flame.Fifth, re-install everything, and replace food.Sixth, use a thermometer to check temp and adjust controls as needed.
We love our ice here. I seem to replace the ice makers one to two times a year. Generally the ice cycle gets off for some reason and it starts making loud popping/clicking noises (gear grinding). Its easy to replace. Simply loosen two screws holding the unit to inside of freezer and disconnecting the wiring harness. Unit slide up and out. Replacement is super easy (5 mins or less). Bam! Ice!
