The refrigerator's In-door water dispenser leaked water. The leakage started out slow and over a period of time increased.
This was the first time I ever installed a water inlet valve in a refrigerator. I viewed the Parts Select youtube repair video that is available online. In fact, I viewed it a couple times. Ultimately, the actual installation of the water inlet valve went exactly as shown in the youtube video. I did not experience any problems with the installation and was quite happy with the experience.

no water flowed to the ice maker
1. Turn off water in line to refrigerator. 2. disconnect hose from refrigerator. 3. Remove back cardboard panel at bottom of refrigerator. 4 Remove 2 screws holding in the valve assembly at bottom right. 5. best way I found to remove hoses (all color coded) is to cut with razor knife at the white collar. cut clean and square. 6. disconnect electrical (also color coded) 7. connect hoses to valve assembly by pushing hose firmly into hole. If you are familiar with PEX then this is the same. Reconnect electrical. Reconnect to refrigerator... 3,2,1 your done. It will take a couple cycles to get the air out of the lines.

"Popping" noise when opening the refrigerator door.
I removed the food on the door and placed it in the refrigerator. I placed a plastic sheet over the opening of the refrigerator to keep the cold air in. Then I removed the bracket for the upper hinge, remover the door and placed it onto a table. Then I removed the plastic bearing from the bottom of door. I then replaced it with the new bearing. Then I removed the lower bearing and its bracket from the refrigerator. At this point I had to modify the new lower bracket by removing the alignment tab with a dremel because there wasn’t any hole in the housing for it. Then I attached the new bracket and bearing. Replaced the door and upper hinge and the job was complete. It took only about a half an hour to finish.

Followed the instructions from another person in the Part Select water valve section and from the video on the same page. Excellent instructions and very easy installation. Water dispenser and ice maker began performing properly as soon as the refrigerator was plugged back in to the power.

Our refrigerator ice maker was broken, crisper draw was broken, and shelf support was broken.
We decided to get a new fridge, after the " sticker shock " of new refrigerators we decided to repair the one we have. Two screws and one plug and the ice maker was replaced, took out the broken crisper shelf, put in the new one and that was done, instructions were great. I actually had to watch a " how to " video, ( provided by your web site ) to change the shelf support, very easy. thanks, Gary Hoyle

Clinking sound and you can feel it in the handle of the door.
The repair was easy. After looking at the diagram and locating the part need i just ordered it. But I wish I had taken the door off before ordering as I really need a second part. So resulting in extra shipping cost. Parts that were needed were 240328201 and 240457702. Tks Jim

Motor did not work on ice maker
Cost of motor was 70% of complete ice maker. So I changed complete ice maker. Remove food from freezer. Remove ice drawer. Two screws and a four prong plug to change out complete ice maker. Use adjusting screw to assure water completely fills tray but doesn't spill, Suggest you set for less water an one a little each ice cycle until a full cube.

Icemaker quit making ice, clicking noise coming from lower rear of appliance
If this happens to you the first thing I would do is shut off the freezer and, using a hair dryer, melt the ice in the ice maker and heat up the water inlet to make sure it is not froze up. Turn the freezer back on and wait to see if that cures the problem. If not, order the new water inlet valve and follow the simple instructions in the video provided on the PartSelect website. I have never have a more pleasant experience with any parts/repair service than I did with PartSelect. After ordering that part it came within the time they stated and their help with the install was great. Also helpful were the other customers talking about their problems and solutions. Thanks to PartSelect I now have Ice and a happy wife. Happy wife--happy life.

Quite making ice
The new inlet valve came with pisco connectors so had to cut the end of the tubes off. Before doing this I marked all the tubes to make sure they were replaced in the correct order. The pisco connectors are great to use and very quick. The total install time was about 20 to 30 minutes. While you have the back of the frig off make sure you vaccuum the fan and coils. It was making ice in less than 20 minutes.
