Rail slides are made of plastic that broke and peeled like it were a package zip strip.
We needed to first select the correct part number. The diagram furnished at the website was sketchy and incomplete, but thanks to the helpful assistance of your patient customer service rep I was able to correctly identify and place the order for the correct part numbers. Each item arrived in lest than 48 hours using standard shipping charges [5-7 business days] much to my surprise. Disassembly and reassembly was very basic. It took longer to remove the food from the refrigerator shelf and pulling out the drawer than it did to unscrew the part and reassemble it hanging it back on the refrigerator brackets. In all it took less than 15 minutes including the removal and restocking the food back onto the refrigerator shelf. While I am not one to brag about repairing anything mechanical I must admit that this was a real morale boosting operation. Anybody with a screwdriver that is tall enough to reach the shelf and shelf brackets could repair these items. It almost took just as long to fill write this narrative as it did to do the repair. Thanks to the Customer Service Rep, she was very kind and reassuring.

Ice container in my freezer section of my refrigerator stopped making crushed ice.
I called the contract repairman recommended by Frigidaire and he came to my home. He told me that the ice container had to be put in a certain way until it locks into position. When he left after telling me it was now fixed, it still didn't work and the auger squealed when activated. I decided to find out why it squealed and found that the back end of the ice maker was cracked and the auger was bound up. I couldn't even turn it with both hands. I got on the internet and was lucky enough to stumble onto PartSelect.com. They showed an Ice Maker Assembly so I ordered it. When it came in I opened the package with my fingers and a knife and shoved it into place. Oh . . . I also snapped it into place where it locked. I guess the repairman knew what he was talking about. . . NOT! It now works great. I love the internet. Errol
