The door would not close from half way open automatically
First I watched the video and everything on that video was correct. I took off the hinge cap with a Philips screw driver on the top of the refrigerator. Then I took out two 5/16" screws with a socket wrench. Removed the hinge and the door lifted off. On the bottom of the door took out one screw and loosened the other one and replaced the Cam Riser. Put everything back together and it worked perfectly.

failed light switch
I started removing the switch by prying on the right side with a screwdriver, when it emerged enough I used pliers to finish removing it. I then unpluged rhe wires from the bad switch and pluged them on the new switch and "poped" it into the hole.

Freezer side door would not close
Followed the video to replace bottom hinge assembly. The only hiccup was that the video instruction was for the fridge side door, so there wasn't step by step instruction for dealing with the electrical connection at the top of door or the water line at the bottom. However, it was simple enough to figure out. Replacement took about 20-25 mins.

Broken Cam on Bottom of Freezer Door
Removed door with little or no difficulty. Only time consuming portion of repair was disconnection and reconnecting of water line to door. This difficulty was primary due to age of the unit. After repairing, I determined that the cam on the refrigerator was also damaged so ordered same part to replace the refrigerator side.

Broken lower drawer rails and cracked vegetable bin
Removed remaining rail pieces and installed new ones. Make sure you keep the original screws as the replacement parts do not come with them. So glad parts were still available, it would have been awful to have had to buy a new refrigerator just because the rails broke over time.

Door would not stay closed
This was a Mother/Daughter feat. We viewed the video based on the bottom hinge assembly part that we had ordered. We did it exactly as shown and it was so easy. But while we had the door off we also had a chance to really clean the frigerator inside out. We were extremely happy that we were able to repair the frigerator oursleves and how much money we had saved by doing it. Thanks

Hinge Pin sheared off
Removed the door, removed old hinge, aligned the new one. Replaced door, then adjusted the door so that it lined up correctly and had same size gape top and bottom between the double doors. Tightened up all bolts and screws and made sure door opened and closed properly. Watched the video that was available to show how to replace hinge correctly. This helped a lot.

Broken cam on the bottom of the freezer door.
Several months ago I had to replace the hinge and cam on the refrigerator door and the repair went smoothly as pictured in the video. This time I had to replace the cam on the freezer door so I ordered the hinge assembly, which included the cam. The web site confirmed that, according to the model number of my 27 year old refrigerator, the hinge assembly would fit. The problem I had was that the top hole in the hinge was positioned too high to fit the hole in the refrigerator so I had to put the old hinge back on, even though it showed some wear. The door closes smoothly by itself now.

Bottom Hinge Wore Out
Set up two saw horses to put door on. Unloaded door shelves. removed upper hinge, and lifted door from lower hinge, placed door on horses. changed lower hinge on refrigerator. put door back on lower hinge, and closed door. Put upper hinge back on. Reloaded door shelves. It took more time to Unload, and Load door shelves than to replace Hinge.
