Glass shattered
Don't ever tell your 11 year old to clean the refridgerator. Something will almost definetly get broken like the glass shelf, but luckily I had parts select which in no time assisted me to find the exact part. I ordered the part, it came quickly and I replaced within seconds. Thanks.
Loosen two screws, unclip electrical connection, remove ice maker, remove l shaped leveling piece of metal from old one, put on new one. Install in reverse order. Hint.. when loosening two screws, use a mirror
I removed a couple of screws from the old part, and inserted the new part. Replaced the screws and I was done. No problem. I'm an almost 60 year old woman, and fixed this myself. It was so easy.
At first I tried to insall the new gasket with the door still attached to the refrigerator. It was difficult to assure that the bottom of the gasket was properly installed at the bottom. As a result I removed the door from the refrigerator, finished installing the gasket and then put the door back on the refrigerator
- Unsnapped old light socket from top of Frig - Disconnected elect wires - Reconnected elect wires to new light socket - Snapped new socket in place - Done in less than 2 min.
No long shelf came with our new refrigerator, Frigdaire did not have one so I went on-line from you and it fit perfectly, now everything does not have to be in one big heap.
Removed shelf from packing, washed it, slid it onto the refrigerator shelf rails and done. Took longer to unpack the shelf than install it! Very easy, perfect fit, and very happy with the exact replacement. Super careful packing, quick shipping. Very good experience. Hope I don't need anymore parts, but if I do, I will definitely get them here.
It was fairly easy. Only had to remove the back cardboard. Remove 3 screws and the power plug. Replacing the screws took a little time the motor mount didn't seem to be tapped exactly for the screws supplied and it was in a tight area. Its working great now.
Pull refrigerator away from wall, being careful not to kink or break water line to ice maker, unplug refrigerator. Using 1/4" nutdriver, remove cardboard lower rear panel, bottom lifts out. Fan and motor are now directly in front of you, grasp the moter to stablize it, and using your other hand, pull fan hub from motor shaft. Be sure motor shaft is clean before reinstalling new fan blade, press new bladr onto motor shaft, until center of blade is centered on outlet side of fan housing. spin blade by hand to insure clearance. Plug refrigerator in and observe operation of fan, refrigerator needs to be calling for cooling for this fan to operate. Reinstall cardboard panel and move refrigerator back into position.
Removed replacement shelf from delivery box. Took items off of existing, broken shelf. Removed broken shelf. Slid new shelf into place. Placed items onto new shelf. Took the rest of the day off.
