C201 Jenn-Air Cooktop - Instructions

I originally ordered the knobs that appeared to be an exact match for the ones on the stove top (Part # PS1515077). However those knobs are designed to fit on D post stems. I finally ordered PS48861 which are designed to fit double flat post stems which is what I have on my stove top. New parts fit perfectly. Remove old knobs put new ones on. Total repair time less than one minute. Part Select was great about getting the original parts and replacement to me quickly.

How I did the repair is no consequence. The service of easily finding the part on your site is GREAT! and the shipping time more than reasonable! Thanks!

I installed a new infinite switch, which created a new problem. The large burner switch turned the small burner on. I replaced the large burner switch an that stopped that problem. But now the small burner still only comes on to high temp. Need help in determining how to correct that problem.I had already replaced the small burner switch before I replaced the large burner switch and I still have the small burner only coming onn to high heat.

Replacing the switch was very easy. First I unplugged the range to be sure there would be no electrical power to the switch. Then I removed four screws to remove the switch cover plate (located above the oven door). I disconnected the wires from the pin connectors on the broken switch, then removed the switch by removing one hex nut. The new switch was installed by reversing the removal procedure. Took about 15 minutes total time.

I unplugged the stove. Took out the burner and removed receptacle by pulling it out of the bracket and clipping the wires. One thing you want to make sure is that when you clip the wires from the receptacle you're replacing you leave enough wire so that you can connect them to the wires on the new receptacle when it is in place on the stove. I had just enough but would have liked more. The bracket I received didn't match the one on the stove so I used the one on the stove since the receptacle itself was the same as the one I was replacing.

First, electricity was shut off from stove. Then two screws that holds the element into place was removed. I pulled element out about 3to8 inches and disconnected the wires to the damaged rocker switch. A new rocker switch was installed. Replaced element back into position and replaced the two screws. Job was finished within 10-15 minutes.

I lifted off the old grill and replaced them with the new ones. My stove top looks great again. If I could find them, I would like to replace the knobs to turn on the gas!

Shut off power at breaker box. Removed top burner unit. Removed old receptacle (Mounting screw was rusty so I drilld out the old one.) Cut wires from old unit. Stripped wires back on old unit. Attached old and new wire with ceramic wire nut. Attached new unit. Reinserted top unit. Reconnected power and "voila". Wife was smiling again.

Simply pulled the old filter out and put the new filter in.

I ordered part one day, recieved part the next day. I installed it the next day. It worked perfect. THANK YOU!

unscrew control panel, remove old sw and put in new one. made sure i no mix up the wires. put in grease filter with old grease filter. I did not install the indicator light. More like a 30 yr old electric stove. model numbers are not even registering now. Maytag has parts for it. Have to look around to match up parts. Parts are common so inside the cartridges can be rebuilt with a set of plugs burners and receptacles that match.

Replaced surface unit infinite switch

Turned off the circuit breaker! Removed the four Phillips screws below the trim, parallel to and above the oven door; removed the trim, then the nut holding the switch (below the knob, removed). Replaced the terminal lugs one at at time from broken switch to new switch. Replaced new switch, nut, trim and screws. Pulled all four burners and replaced drip pans; replaced burners and replaced old control knobs with new knobs. A pleasure working with American made appliances designed to be repaired and not just thrown away! ( P.S.: Parts were delivered to but not for Derickson Lumber Co.) Dick Ford
