I replaced the water pump and belt. The part you sent me was an exact match, so I had no problems what-so-ever fitting the new part into place.

I removed the top back panel and top cover of the machine,I replaced the switch and also put new 1/4 inch plastic hose on from back top of tub that connects to the water level switch all is well works like new.

I am a single women and was very proud of this accomplishment:My washer began making horrible noise when agitating (only), I did some research (on this site) on what the problem could be. I decided to replace the drain pump and belt. It was so much easier than I expected and now, it works with no bad sounds. I have a very simple model, nothing fancy and I hope that is why it was so easy.. not much going on. I am proud of myself since I did all this on my own.. no man helped! :)

I lifted the washer and supported it in the front, then slipped the drive belt off the large agitator pulley. I then tried to turn each of the 3 pulleys under the machine. The Drain Pump was definitely seized. I removed the small access panel in the rear of the machine, removed the 2 drain hoses by releasing the clamps with pliers. Removed the 3 screws with a socket wrench and removed the pump. The new pump was a perfect fit, and we are back up and running. Thank You.

Followed existing instruction to get tub and transmission out of the machine but we couldn't get the transmission free. Wound up taking the tub with the transmission attached to an appliance dealter who said we needed to remove the retaining clip on the bearing at the top of the transmission (inside the tub). We didn't have the tool to do that so we left it at the service center (60 miles from our location) and paid $291 for the repair then had to reassemble the unit when we got it home.

Replaced pump and installed new belt and machine is good as new.

Replace rotor brake & stator, bearings and shims. Followed bearing kit instructions. Works fine after repair. Saved $$$ and caught up on laundry!!!

I am pretty much a novice at appliance repair but am curious enough to investigate and try to save some money. I found what appeared to be the worn part but even being unsure I ordered it. It turned out it was the right part and after installing it I reassembled the washer with no spare parts left over. During a test run it was discovered that the washer drain was partially plugged. I left the drain to the professional and after that all was fine. If it ain't one thing it's three.

Unplug the power cord and hoses. Pull washer away from the wall, tilt it backwards, reach under the washer and remove the belt.The motor has a spring loaded pulley which allows slack to roll the belt off. Turn the washer to the back is faceing you. There is a small panel with four screws in the lower left corner, take them out and remove the panel. Then you will see the drain pump. Remove the two hoses, the three screws holding the pump assembly. Remove the bad pump, and install a new one. Assemble every thing in reverse order, and sart washing.

I followed your advice for the part and watched a you tube video and it fixed the problem completely. . . . I am very happy and will relay this to all my friends. Take the time to check thoroughly what you are doing since the first video didnt tell me that there was a high pressure spring under the ring that held the snubber but I discovered this by watching the video and it all worked very well. Thank you-you saved me $700. 00.

It was very easy. Through the access panel in the back, remove both hoses, take out three screws with 3/8ths socket, remove pump being mindful of the belt and pulley, re-set the pump with belt in place, put the three screws back in, re-connect the hoses, and done ! 10-15 minute job at the most. There will be some residual water in the pump when removed.

I thought the noise was the thrust bearing. Replaced it but didn't fix. Washer worked but hstill had terrible noise. Went shopping for new washer - then pump locked up. I siphoned out the water (good idea) and folled ditections I found on this site. 1. pryed up top with screwdriver. Raised lid. 2. Removed the 2 front panel screws with a nutdriver. 3.Removed hose clamps from pump with pliers. 4. Removed 3 screws holding pump. 5.Replaced pump in reverse order. 6. Crossed fingers - it works fine - saved $800.00

Removed old pump, disconnected hoses and drained water. Put hoses on new pump and reinstalled.
