ATF6000ES1 Frigidaire Washer - Instructions

Take a deep breath and say, "I can do this. I will not pay well over $100 for someone else to come and do it."! Identifying part easy, mail very quick, web instructions clear, took out two screws, slipped out old part, put in new one, replace screws. Removed two screws on the back of the washer top to release the top on the washer. Slid the top off and removed it. Opened washer door and removed two screws securing the door lock assembly to the washer frame. Reached in from the top of the washer to get the door lock assembly. Unplugged the old door lock assembly in three places and plugged the new assembly in in the same three places. Placed the new assembly in the same place as the old one and secured it to the washer frame with the same two screws located on the inside of the door. Replaced washer top and secured two screws at the top back edge of the washer... Tried the spin mode and everything worked great!!!

Unscrewed two phillips head screws, removed damaged part, screwed on replacement part. Presto! Washer works again. I especially appreciated receiving the part less than 48 hours after I ordered it with only regular shipping charge.

I shut off the water supply and started a cycle to release the pressure on the valves. Unplugged the power. Removed the top by unscrewing two screws on the back. Unscrewed the water lines and snapped off the plastic retainer for the water lines and overflow tube. Disconnected the wires to the red, green and blue valves, as well as the small black sensor on the side of the valve assembly. I had to unlock and partially disconnect the overflow tube to allow me access to one of the mounting screws. Removed the other mounting screw and separated the valve assembly by pulling it firmly. I put a little silicone grease on the two rubber mounting grommets and inserted the new valve assembly and re-assembled screws, wire harnesses. Replaced the top and screwed it down.

I am a 64 year old female that had never attempted to fix anything. This was my 1st attempt at fixing something. It took longer to look for phillips screwdriver than it took took to repair it. Thank you so much for instructions.

Took cover off bottem on front of washer and pulled pins out of shocks. Put new shocks in and put the pins back in and reinstalled the cover. It was a easly fix and looking up the parts needed and ordering them was made easy by PartSelect.

The door assembly did not fix the problem this time, it was the control panel that had to be replaced. I have replaced the door assembly in the past, and I am glad I have a spare on hand. They do go out over time from the pressure of large batches of clothes. I am "no repair man", but having someone come out to replace it for you is a $300.00 job, easily. Read the tech info for your error code and go from there.

Was so easy the video link made it even easier. Will with no doubt return for any other problems for my appliances if needed.

Simple removed the screws from the door, did this the night I broke the glass. Gently pryed the inside of the door apart from the front of the door panel. Lined up the arrows on the edge of the new glass panel with the inside of the front door panel and placed the inside plastic door panel back on, to hold the glass panel in place. Replaced screws. Everything worked great! Easy, affordable fix!!

There was not a video available on your site so I went to U-Tube and found one. Instead of reaching the part from the top I took off the rubber boot from the front and it was so much easier. Once I found and watched the video the entire repair took about 15 minutes. Now the washer works like new!!

The ONLY problem is the lack of space to work. I took out the dispenser tube to the left but even with that the bottom screw on the inlet valve was a LOT harder to get back in than out. After putting everything back together there was still a drip from the valve. So I uninstalled, used some liquid gasket material on the entire surface connection. Reinstalled n works fine.

Remove top. (2 screws). Remove Plastic cover plate from back where hot cold connections are made (pry carefully to release tabs). Remove vent tube by turning and pulling out.(this allows easier access to second screw). Remove all three color coded electrical connections. Remove two screws that retain valve (this is where I recommend a magnetic bit. (don't drop either screw) Pull valve out, then up and back in to remove. Reverse to install. Good Luck.
