Ice maker was pouring water into the freezer creating large ice flows inside.
First, I read about 15 descriptions of this repair on your web site. Then I carefully attempted the job. I found that, as others said, the most difficult part of the replacement was the electrical connection, both unplugging and plugging it back in to the replacement part. The icemaker did not seem to function at first, so I removed the part and made sure I had fully inserted the plug into the receptacle. This took far less time than the initial removal and replacement. It began to work fine, and is really an easy job- just makes a person nervous w/o directions, etc.

Water started leaking from ice vending door.
First I took the front cover of element off and pull the electric conne out. Next I loosened the two screws that hold the element top in place. I then removed the screw at bottom that fixed on L-angle.
And then took thermo sensor that was holed by cramp out.
Replace new ice making element as reverse order. It was very easy job.

The center support rail (plastic) for the crisper bins broke at the front end support plate. No obvious way to fix it.
I easily identified the needed part from the diagram on the PartSelect.com site and ordered it. It arrived within three business days (standard shipping). It simply popped into place in the respective slots in the bin frame--no tools needed. The whole process cost less than $11.00 with more than half of the cost going for shipping.

Heater open. Would not release ice in tray.
The new icemaker had the knockout in the side missing where the water came in instead of the knockout in the back. Removed the knockout in back and cut the side out of the old icemaker and clipped it on the side to cover the hole as a splash plate. Worked fine. Transferred all other parts needed from the old icemaker.

Plastic hinge broke off end cap
Like the other stories I read, It took longer to put the food out and back in the frig! The actual replacement was easy, take food out, take upper shelfs out, take lower drawers out, remove 5 screws from the old end cap and replace with new end cap. The End Cap came in the mail VERY well protected and just in a few days! Awesome...
Thanks!

Left pantry lid hinge broken
How easy was that?! First out was the pantry drawer, crisper drawers then glass shelf. Hex head driver (the size for curtin brackets) to remove the 3 screws in panel. While I wiped out the inside my husband traded the slide bracket (phillips head screwdriver) to new end cap and right back in it went. Took longer to type the instructions that get the job done. Our order was received in 2 days. PartsSelect was fabulous.

The original ice maker stopped working.
I got the replacement ice maker the next day after I ordered it...really fast shipment which was very nice. All I had to do is unscrew 4 screws, un-hook the wire harness from the back of the old ice maker and take the old ice maker out. Then repeat the same steps in reverse to put the new on in. It took less than 10 minutes if that. Very easy to install.
