Dryer runs, but no hot air.
Unscrewed the front and ran the dryer. The heating coil DID get red hot but the gas DID NOT blow out. Unscrewed the cover over the top of the two coils. Disconected the wire. Replaced coil and cover. SUPER EASY. Its the starting and holding coil which lets the gas shoot out onto the heating filament. $75.00 just for the repair man to come out plus parts, plus labor. Probably saved $200+. All the prints of the parts are on the website so you can see what your changing. TRUST ME....DO IT YOURSELF. You'll be glad you did!!

dryer belt broken
First I watched a video on YouTube that showed a similar procedure, though was not exactly the same. It was very helpful. I also researched and printed a diagram of the belt/pulley/motor configuration from the internet. First, unplugged the machine. The first screws to be removed were the two in the hinge in the back of the machine that hold the top in place. Then the top of the machine is popped up from the front using a flat head screw driver gently wedged under the edge. The top of the machine then lifts up and away toward the back. Then two screws are removed from inside the front two corners of the machine using a nut driver. The front panel then swings to the right after lifting off two shallow clips under the bottom front edge of the panel. Next I located the broken belt laying on the floor of the inside of the machine and removed it. It's hard to see the motor and pulley inside the machine because it is located behind an immovable structure bolted to the floor of the machine underneath the front of the drum. I was able to reach around this structure and feel the pulley and the motor attachment with my hands. I checked the range of motion of the pulley to be sure it was not the cause of the belt breaking and found that it rotated freely and the the spring mechanism was flexing properly toward the motor attachment. While my husband supported the drum from the front, holding it up about an inch, we worked the new belt around the drum, made sure the ribbing was facing down onto the drum, then working with my hands, and without being able to see where I was working, I worked the belt over the pulley, pushed the pulley - thereby stretching the sping - toward the motor attachement and slipped the belt over the motor attachement. The drum was lowered back into place and checked for rotation by hand. The front panel was set back on the two clips under the lower front edge of the panel then reattached with the two screws at the inside front corners with the nut driver. The top was lowered back into position and pressed down on the two clips at the front edge to attach. The hinge plates were reattached at the back with the two screws using the nut driver. The machine was plugged back in and started. Working well.

Heating element in dryer went out
Opened up the top of the dryer. Had to use the internet to find the broken part since the last time I replaced a heating element it was at the bottom. This one was at the top behind the drum. Disconnected three screws holding the old element in place and the wiring. Pulled the old element and put the new one in replacing the wiring and the screws.

Dryer won't heat
Contrary to instructions that I found on the web, the element is not accessed through the back. Pop the top of the dryer up and the element is visible in the top of the back . Pretty easy job.

The burner didn't stay lit long enough to dry clothes. Short cycles of flames.
The first thing to do is to check to be sure the vent is clear. The easiest way to see if this is the problem is to pull the dryed away from the vent and let it vent into the room. Once you have determined that the vent is not the issue, take the front cover off and see what is going on on the inside. To remove the front cover first remove the 4 screws on the inside of the upper cabinet to take off the control panel, I was able to gain access to the screws under the front of the control panel that hold the front cover in place. A couple of electrical connectors later the cover is removed. The coils are easily accessed from in front of the burner by removing the 2 screws that hold the small silver cover over the coil. Once the cover is removed, the coils slide off a short shaft and you can replace the coil by swapping the apporpriate electrical connector for the coil being replaced. The coils are alligned with a small white pin so you can't get it wrong. Replace the covers and fire away.

This repair is easy and saves you a lot of money. This is a great web site, easy to identify the parts you need and the delivery is very fast. Nice Job!!!

Dryer not heating--no fire
The diagrams listed online gave me a the information needed to trouble-shoot which part could be broken. It only took two tries to see which part was out but was significantly cheaper than a repairman. The expediant delivery on parts made down-time a minimal. Very pleased with results.
