Watched the video and did the repair it was easy.

The hardest part was locating the leak. After consulting the other repair suggestions, I concluded that the gasket was a little more worn on one side than the other so I ordered the gasket. The evening before the gasket arrived (quick delivery from partselect.com) I decided to shim out the old gasket with some old door insulation. It made the door harder to close but it didn't leak any more. When the gasket arrived I replaced the old with the new. It leaked more than ever. After reading more repair instructions, I decided to take apart the door vent and check it. It was packed solid with gunk. After a good cleaning, I put everything back together. No leaks! I tried every repair listed except the door vent. Guess steam is a good gunk conduit LOL. I supposed I didn't really need the new door gasket but I can tell the door has a tighter seal now. Here's a tip to watch for. If the door doesn't leak right away after the washer starts, take the door apart and look at the vent. It can look just fine from the outside and that's deceiving. Someone else mentioned the 'leak' timing that finally got my attention and lead to the 'fix.'

I watched the video that you had on line and the repair was done in a snap. The shipping was fast also.

As there was not a replacement gasket listed in the parts lists or schematics, I ordered the entire nozzle cap hoping the gasket would come with it. It didn't so I glued the gasket in place and installed the new cap. I also replaced the washer arm bearing while I had the cap off. I am hoping the nozzle stays in place.

The repair was simplicity itself. Remover the sprayer arm, removed the torx screws, replaced the seal, and reversed the process of disassembly. When I found out where the dishwasher was leaking from, I called KitchedAid and was ready to replace the overflow float. The part was 42.00 and wouldn't have fixed the problem. When I found this web site and read other peoples experience, I checked the pump seal, and it was obvious that it had blown out. That saved me a Loy of time and money.

Trial and error. The spring was difficult to install, the pin and door were easy.

My husband took the dishwasher apart three times, it was a little frustrating, but was worth the $50 part because it made his wife, very, very happy! A dishwasher operating is on the top 5 list of favorite electronic items in our house.

Using a Torx screwdriver, I removed the fasteners holding the control panel/latch section of the door on the dishwasher. I tested the high limit thermostat with a multimeter. Just two terminals, one being power in, the other power out. The part had what I have heard call a "high resistance open". In other words, the power was not getting from "A" to "B". Power in - not out. After cutting power to the unit, I removed the part (just pull it out of the retaining clip and pull the terminals from the part). After receiving the part...by the way, really fast delivery...I reconnected the part (it doesn't matter which wire goes where), pushed the part back into the retaining clip, replaced and fastened the control panel, then restored power to the unit. Runs like new.

This was stupidly easy! I found Parts Select from a Google search on making the repair. That took me to a YouTube video that Parts Select had posted on how to repair. I followed the instructions and it was fixed in 10 minutes and that was only because I took my time. I ordered the part online from a link on YouTube and I had it in two days............. Unbelievable!!!!

Watched "Steve" install the drain and wash impeller kit and then I did it.

I paid a repairman over $100 to tell me he could find nothing wrong with my leaking dishwasher (it didn't leak when he ran it). I narrowed down the problem to a missing water deflector, but decided to replace the door gasket as well. It took less than 5 minutes to do the job. The only tool I used was a pair of needle-nose pliers to grasp the old door gasket and get it coming out of the groove. I tried going online to get some diagnostic help and never found a site that had a step by step help plan. I then did a little reading on different sites, to eliminate and perhaps diagnose my problem I use epoxy to glue the impeller(which spun freely) to the screw and it held long enough for me to see how it worked. I surfed sites to find the least expensive drain and wash impeller kit. One site had a cheaper price but I chose Parts Select because of the shipping so the end result was the best results for me. I am not sure but the estimated time was 1.7 or 1.8 days delivery that I did not believe would happen. When I received the parts and did the repair my final time from ordering was less than a day and a half. I could not have done the job myself without the video because the parts were very different. My biggest obstacle, other than my ignorance, was some sort of chemical on the screw that would not allow me to loosen it. I used a dremel to cut the head off and then a torch to heat the stub so I could remove it. After I received the kit I saw a chemical on the screw threads so online research told me heat loosens the chemical. My dishwasher is around 25 years old,I have worked on it three times now and replacing the impeller was the most difficult task to date. Should it last and develop another problem I will go to parts select first and start my quest.

The part worked fine but the time getting to me was so quick I could not believe it. GOOD JOB.

We followed the excellent video until we couldn't remove the outlet impeller because the motor shaft was not being held by the failed impeller. We drilled small holes around the impeller shaft until we could break off the upper part of the pump shell. Then we could hold the motor shaft with a vice-grip pliers by squeezing the shaft of the remaing impeller piece. We then removed the retaining screw and the rest of the impeller. Then evrything went well by following the video. There was still a bit of doubt because we discarded more old parts then expected but the machine now works well and we see no leaks.
