no cold water
I pulled the top ofthe washer up, I disconnected the cold and hot water hoses, took the 2 bolts off with a socket and pulled the water valve from the top. I used the pliers to take the pressure ring off and pulled over flow hose off. I pulled the four wires off with pliers. Put the new water valve in reverse order...easy.
a small plastic engage part was broke off that allows the washer to engage in each cycle

Machine making grinding noise and vibrating excessively
Followed existing instruction to get tub and transmission out of the machine but we couldn't get the transmission free. Wound up taking the tub with the transmission attached to an appliance dealter who said we needed to remove the retaining clip on the bearing at the top of the transmission (inside the tub). We didn't have the tool to do that so we left it at the service center (60 miles from our location) and paid $291 for the repair then had to reassemble the unit when we got it home.
Pad missing from both front legs which made washer dance around the room
Easy as pie but had to cut one with hack saw to remove as it would not unscrew. Rust was the problem. Hack saw was the cure. Otherwise repair would have taken 5 minutes Washer now works as it did as a new appliance.
