I must say I was apprehensive about repairing my refrigerator’s ice maker, but the pieces of plastic and the $150 estimate to repair the bad part helped to motivate me into action. I fully expected to wait 6 – 8 weeks for the part to arrive but to my great surprise it arrived in just two days! I maintained and repaired complex ordinance and missiles in the Air Force for 21 years but a couple of steps in the repair of this icemaker stymied me, until that is, I watched your repair video! The video on the site made the repair extremely easy. It took 15 - 30 minutes start to finish. Had it not been for the video I wouldn't have known that the plastic nut on the end of the auger was reverse threaded. I would highly recommend this site for ordering appliance parts.

I would not have attempted the repairs without your instruction. I use a Drimel tool with a abravise blade to cut the part off the shaft. After I realized the Drimel tool would work. It took me parhaps 10 minutes to get it off the shaft. I had already ordered the new part and the job was complete. Thanks for the help. Ron Burch

ordered a new auger after tearing it apart I found I needed a drum. Thought this might be too much work so I went to Lowes for a new ice maker they sold me the wrong one said the didnt have one & I needed to order, they sent the wrong part. So I ordered the drum from you. So her is a pile of parts that has been settin there for a week. The secret was the video Great Job everything works & I tell everyone how smart I am with your help. Removed ice bin and separated parts. However, instructions would have been nice that the part to unscrew was the opposite of normal screws. Not righty-tighty, but righty remove. After I figured that out, disassembly, reassembly, and installation went smoothly. It was a pleasure to deal with your company!

We used the video out on YouTube to show us how to replace the drum. It made the repair go so fast that we were amazed that two klutzes could do this repair! Remove the screws that hold the housing together. Place the screws in a cup to keep everything together. Remove the spiral unit and the plastic sleeve. The hardest part was removing the auger nut on the assembly. Just remember it is a left hand turn. After that, remember sequence of the blade assembly. The video suggested that you take a picture and that would help remembering the sequence of the blades. Follow the video!

I simply followed the video on the partselect web site on my laptop while I did the replacement and it was easy! The online videos are the greatest way to do the repairs.

Before purchasing the part, I watched the ParSelect installation video. The video gave me the insight as to my ability to replace the part and the correctness of the part for my ice bin. The video made it extremely easy and quick to replace the auger drum (propeller looking thing that pushes out the ice).

removed the ice maker and removed all the parts to see what was needed. Only needed the drum. Very easy to do yourself and received the part very quick. Completed the job in about four days due to waiting on part. The work to take apart and put back together about one hour.

First of all when deciding where to order part from I could have saved a couple of bucks on another site but I chose PartSelect because of the video showing exactly how to install the part. When installing the new part it went in exactly as described. Part seems sturdy. Ice bin now works like new again. Hopefully it will last at least as long as the original. Part was good, delivery was quick. I will look here again if I need more parts for any appliance.

Removed the broken auger blade part,replaced it with the new one. Simple easy,and with the fast service you provided repair was accomplished quickly. Will contact your company for all of my whirlpool parts needs.
