The door catch had broken and would no longer hold the door closed to allow the cycle to start.
The door catchh is easily removed by sqweezing the base and pulling out through the opening from where it was installed. The replacemet simply installs in reverse order. There are two such catches on the door. Reversing the catch from the hinge side of the door will help keep you going until the replacement parts arrive. I suggest ordering two replacements and keeping the used parts for temporary use if you should have trouble again.

The door catch had broken.
When the part came in it was really simply. All I had to do was push the new catch into the hole and make sure it was in all the way and secure. A repair man would have charged at least $65 and it took me all of 1 minute to do.

broken dryer door latches.
It was simple. Originally, (just like a man) I took the door apart and removed from behind. THEN I WATCHED THE REPAIR VIDEO!!! Boy did I feel like a dummy. The repair was simple and easy. Putty knife popped the latch out and popped a new one in. Got a couple of extras for future issues. Both latches had failed previously, oddly, only 1 is actually used. Oh well, repair done, bride happy, all is well. Thanks Parts Select. Moral of the story, WATCH THE REPAIR VIDEO FIRST!!!!!!!!
