Ice Maker Not Supplying Ice
Defrosted freezer only. . . . Unplugged fridge. Took hairdryer and made sure all access water was turned off to fridge; then kept heat on hose lines behind metal panel for 10 minutes. Saved myself 382. 00 Repair bill and within an hour had the ice machine banging out the ice. When going on vacation, make sure ice maker is turned off and even if it doesn't work when you get back, defrost freezer before calling help! Saves sooo much money and the new fridge I was told I'd have to purchase if it happened again. Don't think so!!!!!!

Motor stopped working and was leaking
At first I just ordered a new motor and followed the instructions on the video . The new motor started working overtime but no water was being delivered to the tray . Ordered a new tray and re-installed. Working fine now. At first the ice was sticking, but that seems to have stopped now. It may be better to pull the ice maker out and check to see if there is damage to the tray before ordering. That way it could save the time of not doing things twice.

Icemaker Inoperable
Replaced control and motor on the basis that most respondents found this unit to be at fault when the icemaker failed. Unfortunately, this wasn't the problem. Sudsequently, I replaced the electrionic boards which did fix the system. It would have been helpful (and less expensive) if the patrsselect website provided more help with problem diagnosis. Otherwise, the website is great!

Small part broken on motor
It was a very simple repair. The only frustration is that all I needed was a small plastic part on the motor assembly but had to buy the entire assembly. Glad that I found the assembly much cheaper on your site, but wish I could have just bought the small plastic part.

Would not make Ice
First of all, I am a female. So anyone can do this.I simple watched your video. Made the repair very simple. I was surprised that it really worked. I couldn't understand that if the door would still eject ice, why it wouldn't make the ice. It's the same motor. Anyway, It worked and I thank you very much. Very satisfied.

Refridgerator door would not close easily.
I unloaded the door, removed the cap covering the screws at the top hinge. I removed the screws then lifted the door off the pin. Next I removed the screws holding the door cams in place. Replaced both cams and screws, set the door back on the pin then reinstalled the three screws at the top. Snapped back on the cover and I was done. Door works perfectly.

Ice Maker won't make ice
I watched the video so I had an idea of what to do. It was pretty straightforward. Turn off the water, take out the screws, line everything up, replace the part. It went smoothly and the icemaker is working again. :)

Both fans running/No cooling/Compressor hot & Not running
First I checked the compressor, very hot to the touch & not running. I unplugged for a few minutes to cool & when I plugged it back in, it started for maybe a second or two. Then I unplugged the relay from the compressor and new instantly it was fried. So I decided to google the issue which led me too partselect.com and I then realized this relay is called the start device/Relay and it also provides overload protection for the compressor. When I received the part or parts in this case, they came in a small box which included 2 combo relays, 2 overloads, 1 ptc start relay, 1 jumper wire, 1 electrical cover, 1 instruction sheet. By using the number on the compressor I was able to see that I needed to use the ptc start relay & one of the 2 overloads which plug onto the compressor & I needed to use the white jumper wire as the terminals were a different size on the ptc relay. At first I was a little confused because I unplugged one relay and the replacement was two separate parts. Had to read instructions carefully several times to make sure I was using the correct overload and ptc relay. I plugged in the fridge to test & it worked great so I unplugged and installed the electrical cover, reinstalled cardboard cover on back of fridge & I was done. Two weeks later fridge is working great!! Hope this helps.
