Broken shelf in refrigerator.
I was cleaning my refrigerator. When the glass shelf was being cleaned it barely bumped the bottom of the sink. There was no water in the sink. The shelf exploded into thousands of small pieces simular to a car windshield. I was devastated! I went online and ordered a replacement that same day. The next morning I was on my front porch watering plants when a delivery truck pulled into my driveway. It was the replacement shelf. I cannot believe the fast service. Thank you.

Not cooling properly/ door divider getting hot.
The video of the repair is a helpful guide, but my refrigerator has the compressor very close to the condenser fan motor. With the compressor comes the copper tubing that is all in the way. I had to carefully bend them now and then to allow me to get my hands in position. The how to is easy, but the working with tools in cramped quarters was difficult. I think my Maytag side by side model makes for this job to be difficult, maybe yours may not be so bad. I took a couple of hours to complete. After the first hour, I covered the bare wires, and plugged the frig back in so it could do some cooling. I placed a small in front on the condenser to blow across it. Had a little break, then finished the job.

Icemaker shaft did not turn to dispense ice
It tool me a while to diagnose the problem but realized the ice dispenser motor coupling had failed. It fooled me for a while because it turned on the motor but could not turn the plastic shaft inside the icemaker. I found the instructions for an almost identical repair on your website. 1)I removed the motor. In my case the wiring harness came right off.2) I turned the coupling by hand and found that although it turned, it was actually loose on the motor shaft. I then knew it was the problem. 3) The threads were apparently cross threated. 4) As a prior user suggested on your site, I used a hacksaw to cut the old coupling off, being careful to not damage the remaining threads. 5) I ordered the new coupling which arrived very quickly 6) I screwed it on to the motor shaft (remember it is a left hand thread). 7) Presto!! My icemaker works. As the other user suggested, I did not have to use washers as spacers. The new coupling was better made than the old one and actually has ~1/8" nut or spacer already welded to the coupling. My thanks to those before me who helped make this a successful repair.

Refrigerator door not closing on its own
Remove all items from door. Remove bolt holding plastic cover on top hinge. Support door and remove 3 bolts holding hinge. Lift door off lower hinge pin. Remove bolt holding both cam assy's and pry the one on the door out with the screwdriver. Replace both with the new cams, place door on lower hinge pin, place upper hinge pin into door, loosely insert the 3 bolts. Align the door, tighten the 3 bolts and replace plastic cap/bolt. Put the food back in the door and you're done. The only nut-driver needed is 5/16" and the screwdriver is only needed to pry out the cam that's located on the door itself.

Leak at the base of freezer door
Impossible to pass the water tubing through the door as kitchenaid spliced the water tube behind the dispenser and also within the door with tube connectors and not to mention that it was also bundled with the wiring harness. I freshen the connections behind the door and after the tubing exited the door. No leak so far. The only piece of the purchased tubing I used was the spout and attached 12 inch strip of the tubing.

Ice Maker stopped making ice.
I called a repairman, who removed the ice maker and reinstalled it, not once -but- three different times and charged me $84.60. (That's all he did.) I remembered, PartSelect, watched video, ordered motor, received in three days, installed in less than fifteen minutes. Within ten minuted water was running in and later ice was dropping into bin, next day bin was full. Wish I had trusted myself and looked up my fridge problem on PartSelect before calling that (repair) man, and saved myself $84.60. By the way, I'm a 67 year old female.

Ice maker was not making ice.
I'm sorry I can't help you with this, as one of my sons diagnosed the problem and did the repair for me. It took him maybe five minutes to swap the parts, and the ice maker has been working fine ever since.

Water would not despense
The video explains it well, however, for those with the built-in model, the one with the wood panels, things are a bit different. Thanks to another writer, I received help. After you unscrew and remove the two side metal décor strips from the freezer, you are left with how to remove the no-screws décor ice/water panel. It does NOT slide out. You must carefully bend the panel out and away from its top and bottom tracks. I do wonder why not just make it slide out, but no such luck. Be careful not to over bend. However, once you begin bending from the middle out, it will become clear to you how its going to come out. Also, with this panel removed, and left hanging there, it is not necessary to unplug any of those electrical connects. The only electrical work is removing the light from the control bracket you are replacing, as shown in the video. I found bending the décor panel back in place was easier than pulling it out. Be sure to unplug the unit. Plug found at top of refrigerator behind very top wood panel. You will need to easily remove this very top wood panel, and you will need a step ladder to reach plug.
