This is a replacement middle spray arm in your dishwasher. You will find your middle spray arm mounted on the bottom of the middle dish rack. The upper spray arm rotates and sprays water during the operating cycle. If your dishes are not coming out of the dishwasher clean, you may have a malfunctioning middle spray arm. Debris and hard water buildup in your dishwasher can cause the middle spray arm to clog. To replace the spray arm, simply turn the arm counter clockwise to release it from the dish rack. Screw in the new spray arm to complete the repair. This part is sold individually.

remove 2 locks on metal roller guides. remove top basket. turn upside down on counter.remove spray arm by pryng one side in and lift out then push other side down and the out. install same as removal. line spray arm and turn clockwise til you hear a click.install basket and install locking plugs. This dishwasher lower spray arm seal, or under spray arm bearing ring, is designed with the split by the manufacturer. It is not damaged or defective, and is sourced directly from the original manufacturer. This part is approximately 2 inches in diameter, made of plastic, and is white in color. This part is mounted underneath the dishwasher spray arm and creates a seal between the lower spray arm and the sump housing. To access the seal, remove lower dish rack and unscrew the nut that secures lower spray arm to the remove cover. No tools are required to replace the lower seal on your dishwasher.

The retaining nut for the center spray arm came apart and could not be replaced in the dishwasher.
With the new unit just went into place. The only disappointment was that I had to replace the whole sprayer arm as a whole unit. It would have been more cost/environmentally productive just to replace the small plastic retainer nut. Read more...

Lower spray arm seal replacement
Remove upper tray and spray arm. Remove two screws retaining pipe for upper spray arm and overhead. Unscrew retainer on top of lower spray arm and remove. Gently rotate the upper feed pipe clockwise until pipe can be removed from lower pipe. You may then remove the lower pipe and bearing housing where the seal is. Reverse order for reassembly. Wheels were broken off the original upper rack assembly.
My husband and I are both very mechanical but found this repair confusing and difficult. No instructions on how to remove old parts and when I called service department was told parts had come from the manufacturer and they had no idea. Like a puzzle in reverse we finally were able to get the old parts off. The instructions for installing the new parts were confusing and the pictures blurred and not much help. I suspect they were poor photocopies from a service manual. That said, once we figured out how to install the first side the other side went smoothly and the repair was successful. The replacement parts are of substantially better quality (stainless steel) than the original plastic ones. Read more...
