Drain hose was leaking.
Switched circuit breaker off.Removed kick panel.
Removed the dishwasher from counter.
Disconnected drain hose from the pee trap.
Disconnected drain hose from pump.
Installed new drain hose.
Reinstalled dishwasher in counter.
Connected hose at the pee trap.
Turned power back on. test for leaks by running a cycle.

Maytag Dishwasher Faucet Adapter

The faucet adapter for your portable dishwasher or washing machine attaches to the faucet and allows you to connect the machine to the tap. Before you install the faucet adapter on your taps, be sure that it fits the coupler on your dishwasher or washer. As per the factory, this is used for faucets with inside or outside threads. For female connection (outside) just remove the washers. This adapter is approximately 1 inch in length, and slightly less than one inch in diameter. This adapter comes with two different thicknesses of rubber washer. You will not need to use both so be sure to determine which thickness works best for your tap before installing it.

faucet attachment would not sit correctly in hose connector to portable dishwasher. Received machine second hand. Could not find a replacement faucet adapter. So ordered new one and hose plus connector.
Turned machine on side. Removed two casters with Wonder Tool prybar. Then used it to remove plastic push screws holding cardboard bottom cover. Unscrewed water hose. Used screwdriver to remove clamp on drain hose. Stood machine upright, opened door. Unscrewed two screwsfrom tabs into woodblock top. Slid top forward and removed it. Cut plastic hose retainer. Removed hose assembly. Installed new hose by reversing steps. Used a new wire strap to hold hoses in place on top corner of machine.

Maytag Dishwasher Inlet Fill Hose

This fill hose is a genuine OEM replacement part for your dishwasher. The hose is made of black plastic, and is accordion-style, for ease of movement within your dishwasher. To replace the fill hose, you will need a 1/4 inch nut driver, Channellock pliers, and a Phillips screwdriver. Replacing this part will require some disassembly, such as removing the water inlet valve from the fill hose, and the clamps which secure the hose in place. Reuse your existing clamps when securing your new fill hose in place.

Maytag Dishwasher Water Supply Tube
Ohmed drain motor at 24ohms, should be 16.3 ohms from repair manual. Noted check valve, a rubber flapper, was canted out from sealing surface.
New motor ohms at 24 ohms, installed new motor prophylactilly. Installed new flapper valve through the sump. Washer checked okay for drain cycle.
Feed tube assembly was ordered as upper rack flapper valve was worn into open on upper position due to normal use. Feed tube spinner was small, so the rubber flapper was scavenged from the new assembly and used on the old feed tube assembly. Read more...

Water would not drain, upper rack position couldn't be changed
Pulled out dishwasher after checking the air gap, etc. Washer would marginally pump out water and could hear motor running on drain cycle. rat got under dishwasher and chewed water lines, grommet
saw big hole in first (main) hose - got replacement at local hardware thinking it was the only problem - it wasn't - turned on the water and noticed another leak so ordered hose from parts select - fast delivery - installed 2nd hose but still a leak so ordered grommet from parts select - again prompt delivery - installed it and voila no more leak - also checked for rat entry points, plugged those and put down bait - bait wasn't being taken under dishwasher even tho rat reappeared so put a snap trap in back - no luck so far - teachable moment: might have been cheaper to just get another dishwasher as parts are expensive and its difficult to tell extent of damage - luckily i only needed 3 parts = $150 Read more...

Upper spray arm mount broke which eventually caused the spray arm feed tube to break as well
Removed one screw which connects the upper spray arm mount, the spray arm feed tube, and the upper spray arm. Replaced with new parts ordered from partselect and it works as good as new. Highly endorse this website!

Faucet connection leaking, door leaking
Use towels to catch water that spills from unit. Lay unit on side to expose bottom. Remove plastic retainers, rear wheels, and bottom cover. Disconnect inlet and discharge hoses. Tie pull cord onto each hose separately. Temporarily re-install rear wheels. Set uinit upright. Remove two star screws from underside of wooden top. Slide top forward to release and remove top. Remove tie strap holding hoses to inner bracket. Lay unit on side again and pull hoses out. Remove discharge hose first to allow removal of inlet hose from plastic housing on back of unit. Tie pull cords to new hoses. Pull new hoses into unit. Reconnect hoses. Turn unit upright. Replace tie strap on bracket with new hoses. Hoses are marked as to where they should be secured to the bracket. Replace top. Remove old door gasket by pulling from one end of gasket. Clean gasket groove. Push new gasket into place. Close door to seat gasket. Remove and replace faucet adapter kit. Run unit and check for leaks. Lay unit on side, remove rear wheels, replace bottom cover and plastic retainers, reinstall rear wheels.
