On the door ice maker stopped working

Removed the front panel and all associated parts from the water and ice on the door.

My husband had taken everything apart and was ready to order a whole new panel. After reading some of the stories on the website of people having the same problem (no ice would come out, water would come out & not stop or splatter everywhere) we decided to start with the part everyone seemed to have ordered. After ordering the part, it arrived faster than I expected, and solved the problem. It helped reading the other stories so we knew what kind of tools were needed and other helpful hints.
