How do I reset the change filter light?

Many new refrigerators will have a water filter indicator light. This light will notify you when it is time to change your water filter. The downside is that it does not automatically reset once you have changed your filter. Resetting the filter light on your refrigerator is slightly different for each manufacturer.

• Maytag: Press and hold the light and lock pads until the change filter light flashes. (approximately 3 seconds)
• Magic Chef: Press and hold the light and lock pads until the change filter light flashes. (approximately 3 seconds)
• Amana: Press and hold the light and lock pads until the change filter light flashes. (approximately 3 seconds)
• Jenn-Air: Press and hold the light and lock buttons until the change filter light flashes.
• Whirlpool: Press down and release the refrigerator light switch 5 times within 10 seconds.
• KitchenAid: Press down and release the refrigerator light switch 5 times within 10 seconds.
• Frigidiare: Press the reset button down on the dispenser untill the light starts to flash.
• General Electric: Press the reset button on the dispenser for 4 to 8 seconds then release.
• Hotpoint: Press the reset button on the dispenser for 4 to 8 seconds then release.
