The water freezes inside the freezer door. I heat the door and water dispenser will work then over a period of time it freezes inside the door. This part what keeps the dispenser from freezing? I do not see where it is located on the drawing (ni) why is my water dispenser freezing?
For model number FRS3R5EMB3
Hi Doug,
Thank you for your question. It could be this part that you would need to replace. Sometimes you will get this problem when your freezer is set at a too cold setting, below zero in most cases. Sometimes it can be that there is a void in the insulation in your freezer door. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

Freezer temp ping-pongs from 0 degrees to about 8 degrees. Curved outside ss wall of dispenser feels warm to the touch. Is there a heating element behind it which may be cycling on too often or too long?
For model number E23CS78GPS2
Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. Checking the model diagrams there is no element or part that would cause heat. We suggest opening up the dispenser area to check the writing and switches to see if something is defective causing electrical heat. We also suggest testing the Defrost Thermostat. The best way to do this is to remove the thermostat from the refrigerator so you can control the temperature of the sensor. You can let the sensor warm up to room temperature. With the sensor warmed up to room temperature the sensor should read approximately 6.2K Ohms at 68°F. With the thermistor submerged is a glass full of ice water, the sensor should be very close to 32°F which should read approximately 16.3K Ohms. If the values that you are getting are far off from these readings, then the sensor is bad and should be replaced. We hope this helps!

I'm getting condensation forming mainly around the ice dispenser chute. It is trickling down, filling the drip tray and then overflows onto the floor. Does this sound like the dispenser heater may not be working?
For model number FRS3HR5HB3
Hello Kelly, Thank you for the question. This is normally caused by a stuck or warped Dispenser Door Flap, Insulation or Seal. We suggest checking to make sure the Flap is closing properly. If not, it can cause the condensation or a frost build up. We hope this helps!
