My ice maker functions (water pours into the tray, water freezes) but it only dumps / dispenses into the ice bucket when I push the test / reset button. Does this part replace the entire until or just the sensor? I am assuming it is a sensor issue. Can you tell me what part is the sensor or what part includes the sensor?

Thanks for your question. If ice is only dropping when you press the test/reset button, first ensure that the Ice Off icon is not illuminated on your display. When that Ice Off icon is enabled, the ice maker is turned off, but when the test button is pushed, it takes any ice in the ice tray.
If this is happening with the Ice Off display disabled, you may need to test the ice maker sensor included with part number PS4144870 with a multimeter to check for electrical continuity. Replace it if it shows no continuity.
