The washer do not stop filling with water and start to leak from the front door. No error message is shown and is occurring with all the runs. So it is something that is not failing continuously. I was thinking then that it made be the pressure switch. How can test it ? And how I can differentiate a failure of the pressure switch vs a failure of the water inlets?

Hello Steven, Thank you for the question. If the valve has failed, normally it is the hot water side or the cold water side not both. If you can set the water to hot and it overfills then set it to cold and have it still over fill, the valve should be fine. We suggest checking the Hose to the Pressure Switch to make sure there is not a soap build up preventing the water from getting to the switch. If you remove the switch and blow into the port for the hose, you should hear a click if it is working properly. If there is no click, the switch is defective. We hope this helps!

Regarding the pressure switch, how do I test the unit to verify it is working properly. It is my understanding that the contacts are normally open and when pressure is applied they close. Is that how this works? I bought two replacements both are showing a closed circuit regardless of if there is pressure in the tube or not. It will not go open.

Hi John, Thank you for your question. To test the switch, first unplug your washing machine. Before suspecting the switch as the issue, inspect the air dome hose by submerging it in water, sealing one end and blowing in the other, no bubbles should come out of the hose during this test. Additionally, you should inspect it for any signs of wear or damage. You will need to remove your appliance’s cabinet to access the air dome hose. You will also need to remove the water level pressure switch. It is usually found below the control panel, but may also be found below the sump area under the tubs. Inspect the switch for any signs of wear, burning, cracking, or damage. If the air dome hose is not damaged or if your switch shows any of the symptoms mentioned above, you may need a replacement water level pressure switch. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

Earlier I received a PE code. I turned off the machine and then it got stuck of the rinse cycle. I then rest it and did a short wash cycle and again it got stuck, but this time on the spin cycle. I'm thinking it may be the water pressure switch?

GOOD DAY: MY MACHINE WORKS WONDERFULLY. MY CONCERN IS IT USES VERY VERY LITTLE WATER. IS THIS NORM OR AN ISSUE FOR THIS STYLE? I USE ONLY ABOUT A TEASPOON OF HEI DETERGENT. INCLUDING SOFTNER. DUE TO THE FACT OF LITTLE WATER. AM I OVER REACTING HERE?

Hi Terry, thank you for the query. According to our research, if the water level is low, you may need to check that the water valve is completely opened. If the issue still occurs, you may need to replace the water-level pressure switch, part number PS3529317. We hope this helps!
