This part fixes the following symptoms:
Agitator directional cogs, otherwise known as dog ears, come in a package of four and are generally found in washers where the motor is connected directly to the washer. The agitator is what causes the thrusting motion in your washer. If you have noticed that your washer is not draining properly, is making unfamiliar noises, shaking, or is simply not washing properly, it could be due to faulty agitator directional cogs. They can be found by simply removing the softener dispenser and then removing the agitator cap. For this repair, you will need a 1/4 or a 3/8ths socket set, and needle nose pliers.
Went to website and found question to what problem i was having with washer and they gave me a list of parts to fix it. The video that showed me how to change the parts was very helpful. I replaced the Agitator Cam Kit and the thrust washer. It was very easy to do and watching the video before i started helped.

remove softener dispenser and one other snap out part then remove on bolt, removed old part (took some coaxing with a screwdriver) glad i ordered the combo part instead of the dogs only as I had to almost destroy the old part to remove it. Installed the new part and my clothes are now once more agitated.
Popped the old one off and replaced it, piece of cake !
Followed instructions, which were included with the parts, and the repair was a snap. So easy a caveman could do it.
pulled the new ones out of package, same part nice instructions, couldn't get any eaiser, thanks guys for the very fast shipping
pull the top cap off, then the inner cap off, then use the 10mm socket to remove the nut., then pull the whole thing off.
Well, I took out the worn parts, replaced them with new ones, end of problems. except that I did not see in the parts book where the new agit came with new cogs . So, I wound up with an extra set of cogs (at my cost). Gotta say one thing though, the service was good and fast, even though it was during christmas holidays. Thanks.
removed the softner insert, pulled the plastic seal, loosened and removed the 7/16" bolt that holds the paddles in the tube. removed the top part of the paddles/agitators, removesd the old cams and replaced with the new. it works awesome.

Removed agitator found the agitator dogs were broke, identified all parts needed ordered from PartSelect, recieved all parts , repair was very simple 10 min job , works great! Saved lots of money !
Removed the agitator and seperated the top unit notice the cam arm were worn, order the parts on line Sunday After noon and recieved the parts the next week! Great service very easy I did call customer Service checking on delivery spoke Steve who was very helpful.
I unscrewed the agitator and pulled it out. Then took out the old agitator cam kit and put in the new one.
Watched the PartSelect video and it was a help, but it stated to throw away the old bolt and install the new, but it wasn't inclued in the Cam kit and wasn't told when ordering that it should be replaced. Still don't understand why. Took the opportunity to REALLY clean the agitator inside and out of soap scum. Just about soaked off with Scrubbing Bubbles in the shower! PartSelect had the parts we needed at a much less cost than the major stores. Thank you!S
it was easy to repair with the instructions that were included. the agitator dogs was not allowing the fabric softner to work correctly so by replacing the agitator dogs the fabirc softner now works with no hassles. I replaced the fabric softner part as well.
1. Removed softner dispenser.2. Remover plastic cover that protects agitator bolt.3. Used 3/8 inch drive with 6 inch extension and 7/16 socket to remove agitator bolt.4. Removed whole agitator assembly.5. Removed top agitator from bottom agitator. NOTE: This required alot of force due to age of machine. 6. Removed cam assembly.7. Installed new cam assembly.8. Reversed steps to re-assemble.Note: Before I installed the plastic cover for agitator bolt, I cleaned the O-ring and mating surface to ensure a good seal.Very easy job ....washer works as designed.
