High Limit Thermostat - Limit: 205-40

I unplugged the appliance and turned off the gas supply. I removed the exhaust hose by loosening the clamp with a nutdriver. I removed the back panel screws with a nutdriver and removed the panel. I pulled the wire connectors off of the thermostat and thermal fuse. I removed both parts using a screwdriver. The thermostat terminals were slightly different, but the new style terminal ends came with the thermostat. I cut the old style terminal ends off of the old wiring with wire cutters. I stripped the wires and crimped new ends on the wires. I replaced the parts and wiring in the reverse order of removal. I replaced the back panel and exhaust hose. I turned on the gas supply and plugged in the dryer. I turned the dryer on to test it. It worked well. No problem!

All parts were correct is what I should say to begin. Replacing the parts was a bit difficult, but I got the job done. My Kenmore dryer has been serving our needs faithfully for 14 plus years, and hopefully with these new parts, it will last a bit longer, thanks to your service parts.
