At a voltage of 125, this fan switch will allow for 6 amps, and at 250 volts, it will allow for 3 amps. Regardless of the voltage used, this switch still operates at 1/4 horsepower.
This part works with the following brands: Whirlpool, Admiral, Estate, Inglis, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Roper, Maytag, Crosley, Jenn-Air, Hardwick, Magic Chef, Amana, Caloric & Glenwood.
This part fixes the following symptoms:
Loosen 2 phillip screws that secure the Jeen Air cooktop vent fan switch and remove the 2-11/32" hex head nuts that secure the fan switch. Disconnect /reconnect the 3 wires to fan switch. Replace the switch cooktop console and retighten the 2 phillip screws. Cleanup.

shut off power , remove vent cover, 2 screws to free the switch box , there was enough slack to turn it over , idendtify switches to be replaced , double check you got the right ones , got em , nut driver for the fan switch, torex for the burner switch , test ,put it back together , and clean up , no more than a half hour . order parts on monday , delivered on tuesday afternoon with 3-5 day shipping. thanks guys
Turned off the power. Removed the assembly with two screws then removed the switch with two screws. Pulled off the wires. Put on the new switch and lights and reconnected the wires. Reattached the assembly. Turned on the power. All OK.
Turn off power, removed wires from switch, unscrewd lock nuts. Did the reverse to put the new switch with the exception of the the power which should always be turned off first. Took less than 5 min. to install. Wife happy!! which makes me happy.
remove two nuts and install new switch, then change wire connections from the old switch to the new one.Then place it back together.
Flip the breaker. Lift off the fan center grate. Remove two screws located on back of the burner dials housing. Lift the back of the housing, then pull this gently away from the front to unhook the front. Turn this over, locate the switch. Pull the three electrical plug connections from the switch plastic housing, remembering their locations. Back off the two nuts holding the switch to the underneath side of the dials housing. Place the new one in place, put it all back together.
Two screws inside the exhaust box to take out the switch assembly and 2 nuts on the switch. Nothing to it
Remove switch cover with two screws ,remove two nuts holding switch in place ,remove switch,then reverse procedure with new switch.
throw breaker, unbolt switch, unplug leads, rerplace switch, bolt in place, reattach leads, turn breaker back on
switches had same parts numbers but were not the same size. Had to use die grinder and file to enlargh hole. took about 30 min.
First I removed the two screws that hold the switch in place. I then pulled the switch out about 3 inches and disconnected the three wires from the old switch and replaced the new switch....
ordered part, called friend who does odd jobs, and he came and turned off electric, unscrewed the area, pulled out old plug, plugged in the new. Turned on electric and walla, fan works !!!! thank you very much. Part arrived in very short length of time. I was surprised.
