Hi. My fridge started freezing food. After i lowered the temperature control dial, the next day it was above 46 degrees and freezer was defrosting too even though i never touched the control dial for it. We replaced the adaptive defrost control board timer. Heard the compressor start and it ran for a few hours bringing the temp down to 43 fridge and 27 freezer. The next morning temp was above 55 in both so we figured it hadn’t run all night. With a light tap by the water filter we heard some clicking from the back of the unit and then the compressor came on and ran on and off all day with some random clicks sometimes. Temp only came to 41 in the fridge and 28 freezer. Overnight again it did not start on its own. At this point we replaced the run capacitor and after plugging the unit in it started. Temp came to 39 in the fridge. And then it would not start again. Do you think this temperature control could be at fault? Thank you.

Hello Alina, Thank you for your inquiry. Try checking both this part and the defrost heater and thermostat. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!
