No power to user interface. User interface was beeping for weeks before it powered down.
*Unplug the dishwasher. My drain hose was long enough so no need to disconnect.
Access the motherboard and found a solid green light. This indicates the motherboard is not communicating with the user interface.

Door removal:
- removed kick plate
-unplugged door wire assembly and wire harness clip
-Unscrewed dishwasher from cabinet and pull dishwasher out about 6 inches
-Detached pulley rope assembly from door hinge
-Open door about 4 inches and pull up and towards me.
-Lay the door down, removed vent cap and four T20 screws from the side bottom, remove two 1/4 inch bolt from each hinge(the hinges have four bolts, but only to need to be removed)
-push up on the plastic inner door from outer door and set aside.
-Unscrew four 1/4 inch bolts holding user interface and unplug wire assembly. (The two middle screws are longer than the two outer screws)
-be sure to ground yourself before touching the new user interface board
-read the instructions for the new interface board clip positions(mine was already position correctly)
-Assemble the door and be sure to connect the wire assembly and harness clip.

Start button stuck
The replacement of the parts was simple enough, but the board appears to need a jumper which was not in the original board.

The start button works, but beeps three times and doesn’t start the washer

Dishwasher dead
Board did not work. The socket for the jumper pins wasn’t installed on the board. Not sure if it was the correct unit. Decided to forget about doing a repair and just replaced the unit

The machine has no response to any operation.
I replaced the User Control and Display Board and it is working very well now. The important things that should be noted are to take off the door and to open the door cover by unscrewing it. Those screws are located at the bottom of the door and two are hided inside.

Dishwasher wouldn't start.
YouTube search indicated the common problem was the Dishwasher Electronic Control Board, part # WD21X10537. YouTube was wrong. $83.76 mistake. (not Parts Selects fault)
I continued my search and stumbled on JustAnswers.com for $38.00.
They diagnosed the issue by me describing the lights that were blinking and for how long, and quickly told me the door latch is not registering. However, said it is rarely the door latch, but rather the Electronic Control Board, part # PS12726419 for $105.90. What the heck, I'll bite.
Bought both parts at Parts Select, quick shipping, solid packaging and good return policy (learned from previous experience). I did not return the 1st part, figured it probably wasn't long for this world anyway.
Dishwasher is running fine again. The combination of JustAnswers.com and PartSelect.com is far better than an extended warranty. Extended warranties last 3 yrs in most cases and cost as much as I spent. Someone with smaller hands could have done both repairs much quicker.

Doesn't complete dry cycle, no clean light, random noises as if door was closing
Removed toe kick. Removed door counter weights and placed door on soft surface. Removed two bolts(I was able to leave hinges in place) slid door panel down and off. Removed plastic snap fit cover and 4 bolts from UI board. Two of the stand-offs where broken, glued them back into place. Ensured jumpers were set to my model, snapped cover back in place and remounted door. The dishwasher now runs through the cycle and clean light but did not dry. That turned out to be a bad flood switch.

The dishwasher will not start. No lights on the panel are lit. Is there a way to test the UI board. The washer is 4 years old.
For model number GDF520PSJ5SS

Hi Tommy, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description you have provided, you may need to check the incoming power, wire harness and door latch first. If these are ok, you may need to connect the probes of the multimeter to the output of the user interface board and click the buttons. If the multimeter shows any value, then the board is working. If this is not the case, you may need to replace the user interface board, part number PS16762498, to fix the issue. We hope that helps!

The dishwasher beeps at random when not in use and periodically will not start. Powering off at the circuit breaker for 30+ minutes seems to reset it, although both problems eventually return. Is this symptomatic of a UI or main control board problem, and how do I know which one?
For model number GDF570SGJ2CC
PartSelect logo
Hi Louis, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our research, the issue is most probably with the main control board, part number PS17137050. In order to make sure which of the board is faulty, you may need to test both of them for continuity. We hope that helps!

What UI board should I get to replace my current one? The one on the unit is not powering on and I already replaced the main control board. UI on unit now is P/N: 265D1468G403. Also do you suspect it is in fact the UI?
