I have a GE built in oven. After the oven temperature reaches the set temperature, the temperature often decreases as much as 75 degrees. The technician said the sensor and thermostat are working ok. Would a new control board fix the large temperature fluctuation problem? Thanks!

Hello Howard, Thank you for the question. If the repair man tested the sensor and thermostat with a multi meter and they tested to be good, the next part would be the control board. Hope this helps!

The control board has gone completely blank and unresponsive. Shutting the circuit breaker off and back on did not work multiple times and then it finally came back on and seems to be working. Is this an indication of a control board issue?

Hello Thomas, Thank you for your inquiry. If the display is blank and unresponsive, it would indicate an issue with the control board. A reset will sometimes fix it, but if the issue happens again, we would recommend replacing the control board. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Periodically, the keypad will not respond. Therefore the oven will not turn on. To correct the problem, i have to turn off the oven circuit breaker in the main box and then turn it back on. It has been doing this for a couple of years. Is this an indication that the oven control board is defective?

Hi Robert, Thank you for your question. It sounds like it could be. However the problem might also be your keypad as well. You would have to test the parts or either get a certified technician to test the parts to know which one is causing the issue for sure. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Periodly the oven will go off. After reseting the circuit breaker, it works fine. Happens about 2-3 times a month. I am planning to order the oven control board. Right?? how do i get the front glass panel off to get access to the oven control board?

Hi Ron, it is hard to say what is causing that, the control board is certainly possible, a problem with the thermostat/poor ventilation. Without an error code spotting and then fixing the problem can be very difficult. I recommend watching our videos on replacing the part, for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SC--AcOcuzY . Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
