My left front burner is not sparking. This part looks like I would be replacing all five burners. Do I need a repairman to do this or is it possible to do it myself?
For model number Jgbs66dek1ww
Hi Elaine, thank you for your inquiry. It appears that your range may have damaged electrodes, part number PS11762466. We recommend you to check your electrodes. If it is the case, you may need to replace it. The electrodes do not come separately, you may need to buy for all burners. To install the electrodes kindly follow the instructions.
1) Remove the burner caps.
2) First pull up the electrodes using the putty knife, pull it up, and then pull it out.
3) Disconnect the spark electrode wire from the spark, pull it apart. Do not worry about mixing them.
4) Now use a putty knife to remove the cooktop.
5) After removing the cooktop you will have access to the electrodes.
6) Now you can replace the electrodes.
We hope this is helpful!
