Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
oven not heating for baking
Had checked the continuity of the baking element, was good.
Had checked the volts or was it amps of the temp sensor, was good.
That leaves the relay board.
Cut the breaker off, pop open the front of the burner lid, braced it with a wooden spoon.
Used needle nose pliers to compress 3 plastic mounting connections.
Held new board inside and replaced each connection one at a time to from the old to the new.
Press back into place, lower and snap on stove top, hit the breaker and there ya go. Fixed. Everything works again.

Hi, we’ve replaced both oven elements and the oven sensor now. The oven still won’t warm up. Elements in oven will not heat up at all. Top works great however. The front display shows the start temp for the oven at 75 but does not increase at all. The fan also comes on and runs during this. Any ideas?

Hi Rick, Thank you for your question. If you have replaced your elements and the temperature sensor inside of your oven but it is still not working, then it is most likely either your relay board or your electronic control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

How to remove ceramic cook top??
For model number 629.46779
PartSelect logo
Hi Larry, Thank you for your question. Before you begin any repair please turn the power supply off at the junction box. Unthread the screws securing the junction box cover and remove the junction box cover. Untwist the wire nuts to disconnect the power grounding wires. Loosen the conduit connector screw or screws, then remove the conduit cable from the junction box. Next use a Phillips head screw driver to remove the clamping screws from the clamping brackets. Use a quarter inch socket or nut driver to loosen the adjustment screws securing the clamping brackets. Rotate the brackets inwards and tighten the screws. You can lift the cooktop out of the cut-out in the counter and place it on a sturdy surface. Using a Phillips head screw driver or a quarter inch nut driver, remove the screws securing the glass panel to the cooktop. Then carefully lift the old top off. Before installing the new glasstop, make sure the elements are in the proper positions. Align the glasstop on the base and then secure it with the screws. With the glass now installed, you will need to lay it upside down on a padded surface because you will need to new protective foam strips on the underside of the top on all sides. Once completed, realign the cooktop in the counter and reposition it. Follow the remaining steps in reverse. Restore power to the cooktop and everything should now work for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have a Magic Chef electric stove, the oven temps reads up to set temp. But it does not feel that it is as hot. Both elements work i replaced the tc i am not sure which board is bad? The control panel in the front or the relays board,
PartSelect logo
Hi Moe, thank you for your question. If you would like us to be accurate with suggesting parts for your model, please resubmit your question on our website with the model number of your appliance. There are a few parts that could cause this issue in your appliance. First I would say test your elements with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Our oven stopped working. Both elements. It won’t even preheat even. We replaced those both new through this site but still no heat. What else could be the cause? Please help!
For model number 5898XVB

Hi Rick, Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating and you have already replaced both the bake and broil elements, then the issue is likely with the oven temperature sensor, part number PS1570174. It is designed for use with ovens and ranges. It is similar to a thermostat; it measures and regulates the internal temperature of your oven cavity. There is an adapter at one end, a probe at the other, and they are connected by an insulated wire. The probe is approximately 7 inches long. You can test the sensor with a multi-meter for functionality. You need to check the model-specific manual to determine what the proper resistance is for your specific appliance. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
