thermostat will not fit the thermostat bracket.
I had to cut a portion of the bracket out to make room for its over length and electrical blades location. There was no instructions. Kenmore on line instructions were some what close but totally wrong pics. But its in and working.

My problem is the refrigerator runs continuously and freezes the refrigerator section even with the temperature selector placed to off. I have to unplug it to stop it. Is this the part that i need?

The refrigerator keeps the temperature normally around 40 and goes to30 -35 even though we set the control almost to the off position. it is not running all the time so it does cycle.. This seems to make everything very cold. This machine is 30 years old. the freezer control to be the warmest is set at 1 and still gets very cold.Is there a fix for the aged refrigerator. Thank You
For model number KTRF18k T O
Hi Wayne,
Thank you for your question. If the fresh food section of your refrigerator is too cold, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the defrost timer, the temperature control kit and the capacitor. We have included a link that you may reference for information on how to check these parts. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
