I already bought the thermostat but i need how to connect because i have like 8 ports so can you tell me how to connect
For model number JB450DF1BB
Hi Noe, thank you for your question. Be sure to unplug your appliance. Remove the knob. Then you will remove the screws securing your control panel in place and then remove it. Then you will see the thermostat. All you have to do then is remove the screws from the old part. Then you can screw the new part back on the appliance. From there, take the wires from the old thermostat and put them in place on the new one. Then you will remove the old sensor for your appliance and place the new one through the oven opening. Good luck with your repair.

The oven was over heating 50-100 *F the higher the temp the greater the temperature difference. At setpoint of 400* oven would reach 500*. Replaced both self-cleaning t-stat and element. Unit is now 25-50* too hot. Any ideas, do these t-stats have a calibration screw adjustment?

Hi Shawn, thank you for your inquiry. This thermostat does not have any calibration screw for adjustment. An oven vent plays an important role in regulating internal oven temperatures. The vent releases some hot air from the oven cavity as cool air funnels in through the bottom of the oven, but a blocked vent can prevent hot air from escaping and potentially cause overheating. You can keep the vent in working order with regular cleaning and by keeping a few inches of space between bakeware and the walls of the oven. If this is not the issue, we would recommend checking the self clean timer, part number PS1021718. We hope this is helpful!
