Noisy fan in freezer
The repair might have gone more smoothly had I received the correct parts. Evaporator fan grommets were ordered, light bulbs were received... Changing the water valve went smoothly and was quite easy.

Frost in ice dispensor
Had to take front panel off dispenser area. Then remove components and install new part. That was easy part. Problem was getting components back into front of freezer. Seemed like something was blocking it from going all the way in. Had to remove small amount of insulation and "jiggle" components and eventually fell into place.

ice flapper would not close
The first thing I did before starting the repair was watch the 2 videos. I followed the directions step by step and within an hour I had a functioning ice maker again. I had searched all over the web and the other sites were of no help. Your site really made it easy to figure out the problem and order the right parts. I now have a problem with my dishwasher so I will be back on your site soon. Thanks!

Freezer kept "icing up" because flapper door would not close.
Video and instructions were very thorough, but on my paticular freezer, the inside door shelves had to be removed (30 screws) to get to the face place to release the door controls. Newer models can be accessed from the front. After removing front cover, repairs were very simple. Found that the solenoid was "rusted" and would not function. Easy replacement. Order new flapper, but was not needed (have a spare now...haha). When putting back together, the door did not seal at top...had to adjust how I tightened screws (pattern - top to bottom) to keep door from "warping". Did not think that the small amount of torque on the screws could "warp" a door so easily. After re-torqueing the screws, moved the top hinge just a little and door again sealed correctly. Will keep this site "bookmarked" for all my future appliance needs. Never had customer service so thorough. Amazing that I order about 5:00 pm on a Thursday and parts were at my door just after lunch on Friday...amazing service. Thanks for the instructions, video and CS.

Poor water and ice taste, filter a few years old.
Very simple, I followed instructions sent with the filter. Twisted old filter clockwise 1/4 turn to remove. Filled new filter with water, lined up arrow on filter to arrow on refrigerator, and then turned 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Filter raised and seated itself. Wiped few drops of water from refrigerator shelf.

Ice maker was freezing up
Excess water was seeping into the ice maker through the fill tube in back. Reading repair stories here on Parts Direct quickly led me to the water solenoid fill valve. I ordered it and received it in two days. The video here on Parts Direct showed how to change the valve and armed with that information it was an easy 20 minute job. Problem is fixed and the ice maker works flawlessly.

Overfill Ice Tray
Disconnected power cord and turned off water supply. Then I removed rear metal cover on back bottom of refrigerator. I put a towel under 2 water lines, removed water line from wall into valve, removed screw holding water valve, removed both water lines by pushing in on connector and pulling out on the line, removed each electical connector. Then I reversed the process. I did cut about a half inch using a carpet knife from the two water lines entering the bottom of the dual inlet valve. Before putting the metal cover on I turned on refrigerator and water to check for leaks. Notes to remember are that electrical connectors are color coded and 2 bottom water lines are different diameters.

Frost buildup in the freezer near the ice chute.
I watched the video on the PartSelect.com website and decided to give it a try. The replacement of the flapper was even easier than I anticipated! The old flapper was extremely warped and was allowing air into the freezer. I'm not sure how/why it was in that condition but I am happy to report that I have no more ice buildup. Thank you, PartSelect!
