Broken Dryer belt
Can't stop laughing about the mistake I almost made, before I even looked on internet I called Sears and scheduled a repair appointment, $80.00 just to have someone come out and tell me what my problem was not to repair it but to tell me whats wrong. And I told them the belt had broken I heard it when it snapped. Long story short version I found your website and entered appliance information, found part for $15.00 but also found on-site video clearly making the needed repair. Clear step by step instructions taking only 8 minutes looked very easy so I took a chance ordered the part two days later part arrived so I went into basement armed with laptop and tools. MAN it was easy.... too easy ....worked out fine video was spot on. Thanks you guys are a great company

The machine just stopped.
I had some trouble getting the top off. I don't think it has ever been done. It was so dirty inside that I took the shop-vac to it. The belt was not broken but had shifted in the track somehow. I was very lucky as I'm a female senior citizen. My husband, who used to do all these thing, is very ill and unable to help. Unfortunately, we live in a small town and there is no one within 50 miles of us to help us. The video was very helpful. I was so glad I watched it.

Broken clothes dryer door switch
I am a 75 year old woman who always had servicemen do the repairs that needed to be done in my home. However, living on Social Security I needed to reduce my expenses. I watched the video of how to replace the part and determined I could follow them easily. Within a short time the door switch was installed and the clothes dryer started working at the push of the on button.

Broken dryer belt
I simply followed the instructions, replaced the belt, tub support wheels and tension pullie. Could not have been easier. I figured it was worth $47.00 to buy the kit and if it was another issue, at least I saved money vs. a service call. There are only so many things that can go wrong and the belt was the fix. 20 yr old dryer works just like new.

No dryer light, and dryer would shutdown randomly
ordered a replacement light - took about 5 minutes, hardest part was disconnecting power and getting into the dryer replace light. The second part was replacing the dryer switch. This took a bit longer, but was completed. The plastic locks on the top were a little different than the video, but once I saw how the one worked (one side popped open very easily) the other one just took a bit of nudging and opened easily too. Now that I have done this, I am not afraid of working on it for other issues. Great helpful site. They will have my business for other repairs.

Broken Pulley And Belt
Called partsselect on monday and parts arrived tuesday. The repair is simple to do. I removed the lint filter, opened the top of the dryer, disconnected the door switch, removed the two screws holding the front of the dryer then lifting it up to remove. I removed the broken pulley assembly and belt. I installed the new pulley assembly and belt. Then I reassembled in the reverse order.

Banging and screeching noise when dryer was turned on.
We found great video instructions via youtube.com to give us an idea to what might be the problem even before we opened the dryer. Then we opened the dryer top and front door and then removed the belt and drum. We then saw that one of the drum wheels was worn and the rubber part of the wheel was warped off. Once we saw what part we needed we ordered them through PartSelect.com since their wonderful instructions helped us out. Once we received the part we easily removed the old drum wheels and installed the new ones...super easy! Then we had to put the drum back in with the belt. The only "difficult" part was looping the belt around the motor because there was a lot of tension. Once that was set we just put the door back on and then the top! I guess the only snags we had during the process was where exactly to remove screws or pry open certain places b/c every dryer is a little different. I just advice people to really look at their dryer and think about how it is held together instead of just unscrewing everything. We are so glad we found the partselect.com instructions via YouTube.com. We were ready to buy a new dryer but fixing the dryer ended up only costing us $30! Our dryer is so quiet now, just like it is brand new.

Burner would stay on for approx. three minutes and then shut off
Trouble-shooted by removing the cover out and watched cycle over and over again to narrow it down. When I read from other people having the same problem I chose to order the parts that other readers recommended based on their experience. Parts arrived, replaced them in about 5 minutes and spent approx. 10 minutes putting everything back together.Dryer works like brand new now.
