When we ordered the part we watched the video, to see what needed to be done and both my husband and I got the dryer all ready for install before part came so when the Ups delivery came it took all of 10 min to get it back up and running! Lifted top removed front hooked belt from idlers wheel. removed drum. replaced front drum glides rear support wheels idlers wheel. removed blower housing cover and fan. put in new fan don't use spring type clamp that comes with fan it doesn't hold for long and ruins fan. use good quality screw type hose clamp. then just reassembled in reverse order. but first make sure all power is off before doing anything .

I loved the demo video on how to do the repair-it was very helpful. My dryer was different than the one on the video, and I had to make adjustments ( I had self tightening screws on the top and bottom of the front panel and then I stripped the screws)I did this by myself and I had to prop up the drum AND the front panel with items in laundry room.) That's why it took me longer than demo (also had to run to hardware store to get screws). Felt great to accomplish this by myself. Thanks!

I know now that I did not have to get in the back of the machine. Only lift top remove two screws for the front and lift off.The most diffcult was determing how the idler and belt went in but if you hold it in position it becomes to you. Thanks for all your help you run a good ship.

I unplugged the dryer then loosened the screws on the top and inside front, took the front off, I didn't need to unplugged the socket wiring attached to the door. Removed the drum (it came right off) wrapped the new belt around the drum, fed the belt through the tension flange and looped it over the pulley. Then rotated the drum a few times by hand to line everything up then put everything back together. It works fine now.

Watched the repair video on part-select. Pulled the top of the dryer up after removing the lint trap screws.removed screws at top, inside both sides and then lifted front off. Slipped belt over drum and ran through tensioner and around motor shaft. Put dryer back together in reverse order. Simple.

UNPLUG DRYER!! Pry the top up with a screw driver. Removed 2 screws holding front panel on. After removing screws, I removed the two wires running to the door switch. The front panel then can be removed. There are many screws around the blower housing that have to be removed to bet to the blower wheel. Use pliers to remove blower wheel clamp. I used a flat screw driver to remove the retaining clip. Pull the old blower wheel off. I then had to use a piece of pipe with a rubber hammer to drive the new wheel on. I then used the pliers to put the clamp on the blower wheel. Then put the retaining clip back on the end of the shaft. I put the blower housing back together with all of the screws. The thermostat is located on the external of the blower housing plate. unplug two wires and unscrew two screws. The reason I had to replace was due to me not unplugging the unit before removing the thermostat. Put in new thermostat with two screws then reattach two wires to correct pins. I took a picture before removing to make sure I had the wires in the correct spots. Assemble the front panel and attached the wires to the door switch. Close lid, plug in dryer, and ready to use.

I came home from work to notice the dryer singing a different tune than usual. I opened the door and noticed that the tub wasnt turning. I popped the top of the dryer up to find a disentigrated belt. Fired up the computer and in a few minutes had ordered the $8 ($15 including shipping) replacement belt. 3 Days later took the shopvac and cleaned up the lint and broken belt pieces. Installed the new belt and was back in business with my 8 year old dryer. ** The only complaint comes from my wife who got her hopes up for a new front load washer and dryer** thanks partselect for saving my wallet in more than one way!

The dryer opens up pretty easily; there are two screws holding the lint filter housing to the top panel that must be removed before the top will come up. The top panel pops open by prying it up with a screw driver. Once it's off there are two screws inside near the top that hold the upper front panel to the sides. There are also two screws that need to be loosened, but not removed, at the very bottom of the upper front panel, accessed by removing the lower front panel which is also popped out by prying (the upper part of the lower panel is pulled straight out, and is held to the bottom of the unit by hinge-like clips). Once the upper front panel is wriggled back the drum will slump off but stay pretty much in place while you set the panel aside (it has an electrical lead that goes to the door-closed sensor, but if you pop its clips loose in a couple spots you'll have enough slack to set it to the side). The drum pulls off easily. You might want to take a photo of the belt/pulley arrangement underneath it before removing everything, as it is not intuitively obvious how the belt runs thru the pulleys. Once the drum is gone vacuum up all that accumulated lint, then pop off the metal clips that hold the motor on. I was surprised at how little holds that motor on; apparently it's enough. Here is where I ran into my one snag: I couldn't unscrew the blower wheel from the motor shaft, and you have to get that fan off to get the motor out. You're supposed to clamp a wrench on the plastic fan just inside the dryer housing, and unscrew it by turning the shaft from the other side. No go. I eventually drilled a sequence of holes into the plastic around the metal shaft (easy) and could pull the motor out, but of course now I needed a $20 fan replacement. The motor and fan showed up in 2-3 days. Unfortunately, the motor came with a pulley that needed a narrower drive belt than my original. I guess I could have cut the original down, but i just went ahead and ordered a new one ($12). Everything went back together surprisingly easily. Getting the new fan on was much easier than getting that old one off.

take two phillips srews out of lint catch frame. next take a screw driver pry up front top part on dryer.lean back top out of way.take two screws out of top of dryer door. disconnect electrical connection dryer door frame.and pull frame upward and off. you will see roller bracket with end made to put in slott. put it in first slott under belt motor.take belt and pull it through under roller and hook it with screwdriver to motor pulley.by putting the tip of screwdriver on motor pulley with belt on screwdriver and lift up until belt slides on to pulley. make sure you put belt around barrel. before putting belt through roller bracket and on to motor pulley.and use something to put under barrel so it will not get in the way and fall off.

i popped the top off. removed the 2 hex screws in the front upper inner corners. lifted the front panel up about an inch n removed it. pulled the drum out. removed the old broken belt. put the tention roller back into the slots at the bottom panel n base of the motor. mounted the new belt around the motor n thru the tentioner as i placed the drum in position n mounted the belt around the drum. holding the drum in place i replaced the front panel. replaced the hex screws n closed the lid. wah-lah. dryer fixed... thank you parts select

After ordering the part, I read the information left by other users. I used a screw driver to pop out the piece, and then put the new latch in the opening. A gentle pop with the side of my hand, and the door latch went right into place. Who knew there was a second door latch on the other side that could've been used?
