WTR430FS0 Westinghouse Washer - Instructions

lean washer back against wall, remove 2 screws from lower front panel.remove spring from front panel boot seal, pull seal loose from front panel, squeeze clamp and pull seal from detergent fill tube,remove spring from rear seal/ boot to drum, watch to see how it is attached to ease install of new one.lube new seal/boot rear section with dish soap. push seal on to drum working clockwise from top. it is difficult to get started, make sure arrow is pointing straight up at 12:00 oclock. replace spring around boot, start at one end and use spacers provided,have some one help with this. rest is simple. clip on detergent boot and use needle nose pliers to replace clamp, (a little difficult)crap type clamp. install seal to front panel and install spring. Done in about 1 hour. Directions were photo copy and dark and hard to see pictures.

Took cover off bottem on front of washer and pulled pins out of shocks. Put new shocks in and put the pins back in and reinstalled the cover. It was a easly fix and looking up the parts needed and ordering them was made easy by PartSelect.

The door assembly did not fix the problem this time, it was the control panel that had to be replaced. I have replaced the door assembly in the past, and I am glad I have a spare on hand. They do go out over time from the pressure of large batches of clothes. I am "no repair man", but having someone come out to replace it for you is a $300.00 job, easily. Read the tech info for your error code and go from there.

took the top off removed the old one and put in the new one.Works great!!

Followed existing instructions. Easier to install than remove. Install took 1 minute and was obvious once the old vane was removed. Had to break the old one to remove as it didn't slide out as expected. But no problem. Was already broken. :)

I turned off water valves. I then unplugged the AC. I took the 4 screws out on the back end of the top cover of the washer. I removed the two water lines from the water inlet vales and the two electrical connectors. I then removed the two screws holding the water valve assembly and it came out easy. Installed new water valve assembly mounted with two screws , then put the electrical connection and water lines back on new water valve assembly. I turned the incoming water vales on and installed the top cover with the four back screws and was done.

After taking the top and bottom covers off I used a few pieces of 2x4 as a lever to lift the tub from the bottom as much as possible(stood on it). I hooked the tub side of the spring on and used a strong piece of rope through the upper attachment point to lift the tub the rest of the way and stretch the spring in place then cut the rope away. Use something like a screwdriver through the top loop of the rope for the lift. Good luck :)

There was not a video available on your site so I went to U-Tube and found one. Instead of reaching the part from the top I took off the rubber boot from the front and it was so much easier. Once I found and watched the video the entire repair took about 15 minutes. Now the washer works like new!!

Part was perfect! Ordered on a Sunday morning before 10am and was delivered 2 days later. Fixed the washer in 20 minutes which would have cost me hundreds for a service call. And, I can't imagine how long this would have taken if I had tried to find this part the old fashioned way. Awesome, thank you Part Select!!

Traced the leak to the hose. Figured out the name of the part from a combination of the product manual, YouTube, and PartSelect.com's pretty-darn-intelligent parts guides. Used regular pliers to pinch the clamps, and removed the old leaky hose. (Wow, it smelled bad!) Yanked out the debris, then pulled out the coin trap by extending the accordion-like hose, to put in the new hose. Reattaching is really tricky, especially the end that connects to the pump. Make sure that the hose AND CLAMP get all the way onto each hard plastic connectors. A good pair of adjustable vice grip pliers, with half-inch-wide grips, helped a lot! Test the connection by gradually pouring a quart of water into the washer drum. If that holds OK, try washing a load of laundry, watching for any leaks before sealing up the front panel. Good luck!

Took the two 5/16ths pump mount screws out, used a pliers to remove the in/out pump hose clamps, disconnected wires. Reversed process to install new pump. Output hose clamp was the trickiest due to its location - but still easy.

The video is very good. I have a stacked unit and didn't want to remove the dryer. It was difficult (but not impossible) to get the pins removed and replaced. I made a removal tool by drilling a 15/32" hole into the end of a 1"x1" piece of wood. Taping on this closed the pin safety and pushed it out.

The video was helpful and gave good ideas to look for, it was harder to reach the pins holding each end. I used a 6-8 inch dowel rod to remove and replace the plastic pins. First time always takes longer than advertised but I wasn't in a big hurry.
