Hello! The freezer was freezing so hard that ice cream was like a rock, and the unit seemed to run continuously. On the control panel, I shut off the cooling but then I couldn't seem to get the cooling to turn back on. The 3 temperature lights just cycled on and off, left to right, right to left, continuously. I ran the diagnostics and each step seemed to work, but after the final step it reverted back to the cycling temperature lights. I unplugged the unit, removed the panel in the freezer and discovered a lot of ice buildup at the back, and the vents/holes into the fridge below may have been partially blocked by ice too. I removed all the ice and plugged the fridge back in, the evaporator fan runs fine when I plugged it back in, then ran diagnostics again but the same alternating temperature lights continues. It's been a couple of days and the freezer is no longer freezing like it was, however now neither the freezer or fridge compartment are as cold as they should be. With the blinking temperature lights on the control panel, that seems the obvious culprit but it's a $300 part and this is an 8 year old unit. Thoughts?

Hi Tom, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description, the issue is with the control board, part number PS12745754. It manages the functions of the refrigerator such as cooling and defrost times. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!
My fridge worked then we had to put it in storage for awhile when I tried to plug it in and the plug arced and now it won't turn on. I tried to leave it plugged in for awhile then unplug it in hopes to reset it but nothing. Do you think it could be the circuit board shorted out??

Hi John,
Thank you for your question. If the refrigerator will not start, we would recommend checking the capacitor first and then the start relay. We hope this helps!
THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR TOP LEFT SEAL IS NOT TOUCHING, THERE IS A GAP.
For model number WRT318FZDW00
Hi Thomas, thank you for contacting us. You can clean the gasket where the gap is by getting a bowl, mix warm water with a drop of dishwashing liquid. Dip an old toothbrush into the mixture and use it. If you still face this issue, then you probably have to replace the door gasket part number PS11727983. We hope this information helps!
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck le
... Read moret's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!
The reason I repaired it myself was because the repairman that diagnosed the problem.didn't come back in two weeks. The evaporator fan sits behind a vented wall in the freezer and directs cold air into freezer and refrigerator.I removed the ice make assembly first and then the freezer wall held in place by two sheet metal nuts. Then remov

Removed the fan blade from fan motor, which was press fitted on,then removed fan motor from bracket assembly(make sure and retain the two vibration rubber washers on back and front of motor. Reinstall new motor with vibration washers and press fan blade on new motor. Install in bracket assemble and reassemnble.
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
