Water Inlet Valve Not Working / No Ice
Started at installing water inlet valve, but the valve I recieved did not have threaded ends for water lines. Was the replacement part I needed, but with out the threaded ends. Called partselect about the issue, they did there research about the valve, was told that the manufacture had changed some of the install features, so I aked them that instructions etc. , Would of been great. As I looked at the valve where the water lines go, they all matched in water line sizes that matched my original valve, so I cutted the water lines one by one making sure they go where they go. The new water valve requires to cut (flush cut) the lines at it's closest point to the valve and insert into valve water line hole (the new water inlet valve, has a seal gasket in each hole with locking teeth). So you must be accurate on where and which water line gos where, cause you won't be able to pull the water line out again with out damaging the locking teeth etc. , In that one water line you just putted in wrong. Basically the new water inlet valve is a cut water line flush and insert to proper hole, you got to push hard until you feel the water line pushing your hand away from you, which to me indicated that you had a solid complete sitting of water line on to valve and pull on that same line just a bit to see , if it would come out. Which it did not and so you do all water lines the same way / reinstalled / hooked up main water copper line the the water inlet valve / checked for leaks, nothing / installed ice maker simple 2 screws on inside of freezer for mounting ice maker / unplugged ice maker from male-female plug in freezer where ice maker is plugged to. Installed reverse order / added 1 cup of water (by hand) onto ice maker I had just installed, so it would go thru its cycle , of making ice / ice dispencing onto tub / and the water inlet valve kicks into action adding water. * Note: I did not have the instructions about the new changes to the water inlet valve , do this ,do that . The number provided to me from customer service on about contacting the manfacturer was useless, reason being. They just said that they just manufacture parts, they don't how to. But like I said, it's a simple cut even and push into hole, until line locks. Better instructions, with details. Would've been great . Hope my details help you all. : )

Ice maker was making a ticking sound as the drive motor for the ice cube tray was slipping.
The repair was very simple with loosing the two mounting screws (did not have to take completely out) with a nut driver. Unplugged the unit from the fridge wiring at the back of the pig tail on the ice maker. The pictures on the web page were priceless in making the decision if I truly had the correct part. The part arrived within two day from ordering. Ordered on Sunday and received on Tuesday. Took about 10 min to unpack, mount, hook up electrical and turn on water.

Leaking from refrigerator
Had a leak every night from refrigerator couldn't understand where from. Went on line and found some articles. I was referred to this sight by ads the articles and then in how to. I was pleased that a customer wrote their own instructions on what to do it was more concise clear and made preparation easier. First label towel cup and bucket needed too. Turn off water supply and electrical cord unplug then remove cover behind refrigerator vacuum and clean then. Water makes a mess so clean dry first. Then mark your hoses to remember order. Next remove old inlet and put in bucket it's pressure clamps so push in and it locks I chose to suction pipes and check for damage to pipes pin holes etc next I inserted into new inlet in order. At that time I turned water valve on checked for leaks at initial insert and new inlet. Next I plugged in unit cord. Waited. No leaks so far left for 30 minutes ran ice machine and water dispenser waited 20 minutes no leaks yet. Unplugged refrigerator unit. Installed the inlet completely to base and closed back paper panel after wiping water. Waited 24 hours then smiled no leak. Job done so far 2 weeks all clear. Hope this helps you will need screws driver and wrench for copper or main line I did find same part for less but this sight help me with good instructions the one they provide is for engineers architects lol not me I'm DYI

Replace ice/water filter
I ordered the filter from Parts Select on 9/2/13 and it was delivered to my house on 9/5/13. You can't beat that for quick service. So then I open door to refrigrator and push the button on the lower right of the filter compartment, which is at eye level. Remove old filter. Take the caps off the terminals of the new filter and insert into compartment where the old filter was. Write the date of the filter change on the label that comes with the filter and affix to the new filter face. The filter should last six months.
