broken water dispenser Actuator
First I remove the water catch tray. Then I removed the three screws the hold the face plate on. ( You do have to slide face plate upward) I let that hang gently. Then I removed the three screws that hold the mother board in place, tilt the motherboard out to be able to see the back of the actuator. Remove three screws and flanges that hold actuator in place. Look at how spring is held in place before removing. Remove actuator, replace with new actuator set spring, replace screws and flanges, push motherboard back in place, replace the three screws, replace face plate with the three screws and replace catch tray. And your done!!!!

wanted to change features
Fridge came ice maker assy configured with an ice cream shelf to maximize space. I found this annoying becuase it blocked access to the ice maker controls and ice bin, which is useful for bulk access even thought there's a door front dispenser for ice. I recognized parts diagrams for a similar model and corrctly assumed they'd fit. So for $30 and an easy change I have the feature I wanted. Pretty cool.

Refrigerator and freezer were not cooling properly
I can fix just about anything, but when I'm approaching to fix an item that I have previously no experience with I always do some research before attempting a repair. Once I diagnosed the problem (The evaporator fan was not kicking on), I purchased both the thermostat and fan because either one of them could be the source as to why the refrigerator was not working. Unless you want to drink room temperature milk for three to four more days, I highly recommend that you replace both. After cleaning out the freezer and removing the pull out bucket, I removed the screws and pulled out the metal enclosure. The fan was easy to take out along with the thermostat. The time consuming part of the repair was splicing the old wiring harness with the new thermostat and condenser fan since the replacement condenser fan had a different wiring harness. I had to heat sink the butt splice connectors and I wrapped all the wires in a cold weather electric tape. After that I plugged the refrigerator right in and to my delight it worked :) I love this website because it is very user friendly accompanied with fast and efficient shipping. Thanks again!

refrigerator wouldn't make ice
Very easy repair. Remove 2 screws, unplug wire harness. My model used the included harness adapter. I needed to secure the extra harness length with the included cable ties. Icemaker went back in smoothly with no problems. Making ice like crazy now.
