WRS23W0AWD Westinghouse Refrigerator - Instructions

I removed the door actuated light switch with my index finger and thumb on my right hand. I then removed the two wires from the switch. I noticed that the new switch had different look to it,I think Frigidaire must have had a problem with the original design of the switch. Reassembly was just replacing the two wires and putting the new switch in place, and no more door closing problem.

Punch out center of old support, then pull it out. Insert new suppport, insert center and tap flat with hammer. All done!

Pried the broken support insert out with a screw driver and pulled it out with pliers, then inserted the new and pressed it in and Presto the drawer now works good again.

Unscrew it, rusted, but doable, install the new part, screw it back, the problem is to fit the little hose in the same hole properly, so we created a tool like a piece of wire to elongate it and make it fit again, screw the cover, and Eureka, like new. So happy.

I had removed the current cover from the refrigerator by lifting it out of place. I removed the glass insert and placed it in the new crisper cover. I placed the new assembly into position, added the drawer back into the drawer slides, then the refrigerator was back to new!

Took off bolts on top hinge , lifted the door off lower hinge With a srew driver was able to remove an replace both parts .
The doors is as good as new :0)

It was very easy to install. Simply removed the top plate on the fridge door. It was one screw. then removed the door and replaced the plate and bearing. The plate needed to be screwed in. Placed the door back on and replaced the top plate. Done! Easy and fast.

The part was perfect. Did it on a Saturday night is about 3 minutes. Wa the total fix.

Thanks to everyone is thread, for the valuable info. Over-all, the whole thing was pretty easy.

Removed one phillips screw holding top cover (top of door).
Removed top cover (about 6" long).
Removed two hex nuts (sorry, I've forgotten the size).
Removed door.
Removed broken (bottom) bearing-hinge.*
Replaced bearing hinge.
Replaced door.
Replaced hex nuts.
Replaced top cover.
Replaced phillips screw.

I wasn't sure how heavy (or rather not heavy) the door was, so I had an additional person stading by (it's not heavy). Extra person was not necessary.

The only thing that made the repair annoying was when I tried removing the cracked bearing-hinge, the top splintered and the bottom half was stuck in the door. I ended up having to dig out the cracked piece with pliers & drill & tiny computer screw-driver & swearing.

Moral of the story is don't crack the top off of the bearing-hing that you're trying remove.

piece of cake... removed upper hinge, old bearing hinge came right out ... Installed new piece and was done in less than 5 minutes... It took longer removing all the stuff from the door shelves,then it did to fix the problem.

First I removed two screws and my wife took the door our. Peplaced part and we put the door back in. Two more screws and done.

It's not so much the ease of the repair that matters as how quickly you got the part to me. I had tried to order the part frmo a major company who's name rhymes with Beers, but they were unable to deliver it after three weeks. It was constantly on backorder. I ordered it from you on Monday, had the part on Tuesday, and had repaired it by Tuesday night.

took out bottom plate where the glass sets removed 3 screws at bottom lifted up on face plate and pulled out the cover (unplug controls) 3 more screws and operating unit was out. Important....unplug electrical connection on the left side 2 screws to remove actuator and replaced with new one.
Reverse steps.

Remove two bolts holding bracket keeping the door mounted on top of the refrigerator, remove mounting bracket. Lift off door, invert and remove bits of old damaged bearing. Insert new bearing into holder on door at bottom an refit door on to body. Replace bracket on top of refrigerator. That's all

It snapped in place.
